Hi Cynthia. So kind of you to comment on my photos ! The coloured one is the old git and the other is the young suavo aged 20. Hard to spot the difference I know! I thought it was moody and in fact an early selfie taken with a self timer(the predecessor of the umbilical version). Bless yer.

It's the scope: often particular, but always with an eye to the general 'game'. Librans move like pieces on a chess board, with 360 degree vision, seeing innumerable ways to get from A to Z. And there's no such direction as 'backwards'.

I'm not sure whether that makes actual sense, but I've got a general idea what I mean. To be honest, it kind of sounds like the pith of a poem. I might pursue it.

BTW, I really like that 'Bacon' quote in your Bio.

I joined Poetry Plus in July this year and a more welcoming group and pleasant atmosphere one would be hard pressed to find! The focus is on reading poetry, pure and simple. The October meeting gives a good idea of the eclectic material that one can expect to hear. As well as attendees having the opportunity to read their own work there were pieces from such well known names as Sir John Betjeman, Mya Angelou, Pam Ayres, Yeats and W H Auden. Themes covered such diverse material as homelessness, the countryside and Bruegel's Fall of Icarus! Several readers also took the opportunity to read Halloween themed poems. I KNEW you were 'cut from the same cloth!' Another Libran! With a great balance of 'hard-head' and 'soft-heart'. And a drive for creativity.

The photo so reminds me of sitting on the shoreline of Bermuda, just looking out to sea, and wave watching, marvelling at the 'connective energy' of our planet. I found such moments both peaceful and stimulating at the same time, awe-inspiring.
