I am a Mum a Gran and Great Gran in my 72nd year and used to Foster troubled Teenage girls . My Poems will probably mean something to everyone . The girls I fostered had troubles with abuse glue sniffing prostitutation a verity of troubles . I had to give up fostering 25years ago having had breast cancer . It was hard work but very rewarding . I live in West Yorkshire . There are so many troubled children in the world ,and so many people bury there heads in the sand . We all need. To take a good look and talk out loud and do something about it . I Seem to have been fighting all my life could not spell very good have taught myself to use a computer not very good but I try My knowledge written in my poems comes from a life time of experience not hearsay or out of books . Having four children and two step children and also numerous grand children . I have always been a good listener and eyes in the back of my head .

Samples

Hi Wendy.
Thanks for commenting on my latest story about Fred Floppit. He was a pensioner when I was a kid, but his escapades were legendary in the village where I grew up.
Cheers Kevin

Hi Wendy.

Thank you -don't worry about not getting back -there are so many entries on WOL, it's difficult to keep track sometimes.

Keep on fighting for those who need your help, that's all that's matters.

💗Best wishes,Bill.

Good afternoon to you Wendy. And awwww! (re The gravy train)I feel sooo guilty now for having corrected your spellings-especially since I too have been corrected for misspelling-haha! Had I known you were a (lovely)lady of senior years I can assure you that I would have withheld my suggestions. Please accept my apologies and the warmest of wishes.Thank you.Jemima.

You are more than welcome Wendy, and once again, apologies for the train wreck. You made a very fine point. I've been the woman who says no, and wasn't heard, so it's painfully close to my heart.

Take care, Laura.
