Pop Up Poetry Guildford v the World Cup, 17th June 2014
June's Pop Up at the Bar des Arts was a great success despite a few glitches - what with glorious weather, Mexico playing Brazil in the World Cup (a lousy draw), our back-cloth screen collapsing and almost braining Dónall, our mic-stand proving short of a rod or two and our stage lighting staying obstinately unlighted. Luckily, all these material disasters happened before the start of the evening....

Pop Up Poetry's NEW BEGINNINGS
We'll have completed a year of Pop Up Poetry soon. We've made so many good friends among the talented people that have come to the Bar des Arts in 2012! We're looking forward to inviting some of them back in 2013, when we'll be hosting the event on the third Tuesday of every month.
Looking back over the year, there have been too many highlights to name all of them separately - the Antipoet ...

Pop Up Poetry - Jamming for Oxfam
Pop Up Poetry's October gig was dedicated to collecting for Oxfam as part of Oxjam month, and we succeeded in collecting donations of £70 from an enthusiastic audience, as well as enjoying a brilliant evening of song and poetry - our tenth monthly event this year.
Dónall Dempsey hosted with his customary blend of Irish charm, persuasion (that's how we collected the £70!) and teasing banter ...
