I've always thought that if the government were serious about curbing people using their cars they would give tax breaks or incentives for people working from home.

Wow Pete,
Great rant about a real problem.Or many real problems. When I had to drive into down town dallas, It took about an hour to get to work and back home another. Its six lanes, of almost bumper to bumper traffic. I could get about 35 to 40 miles, cant remember now in about an hours time.I used to get upset, but then made my mind up to not be in a hurry any place. Turn the music on and sing all the way there.I would listen to ministers on the radio and pray. I would try and feel sorry for others on the road with me, so as to not curse at them. The I did the transfer driving out the other direction to work, 48 miles ther and home. I did the same things, but got to enjoy 2 lakes and many farms and nature to see. But with my health and gas prices and real luck/Gods help, I got the new job 2 miles from home, dont even get to hear a whole song now on radio. The public transport here is nothing, so it really cant be used by the masses, as a viable solution to the many problems. If we all stop going into offices and work from home that may help a bunch, but then the owners of the high rise blds, will fail on loans.I would take a horse to work, if I had a proper place to tie up.I guess I could ride a bike, but to be honest its almost all up hill and country roads, and in 100 plus degrees, Im not in the proper health to do it. I may try walking it, at some point, say in the fall, when the heat wont cook me. loved the rant, but you know that, it got a long responce from me.Tell me, have you looked up Monsanto or Dupont yet? Your head will spin off. take care

Ahh, my point... I dont think the Argentine war was worth the pain it caused. Heros like Simon Weston described it perfectly: "I dont decide if its right or wrong, or who has the most claim on the islands... what is important is that the British citizens living there wished to stay British and that is what I faught for"

Hi, i don't feel good about this one. I'm here to ask you a huge favour.
I'd like to evolve a poem based on the line i loved in one of your blogs. "savour the day and seize the sunshine." It's just a seedling at the moment.
Before i go ahead with it, i need to ask for your kind permission in the understanding that it will be used to uplift an oppression with a little humour.
A few days ago, i blogged something which offended someone. I retracted it as soon as i possibly could.
I was suitably ashamed. So much so that i removed myself from the "game." ( as everyone sees it.)
Thankyou for giving me this opportunity to express my feelings. I think you'll understand why i just can't comment on this blog of yours.
Love Janet.x

This painting reminds me of Jesus. It's the hands more than anything else. They remind me of a picture which used to hang on our church wall, showing him bearing the cross.
It actually goes against our religion, as a true spiritualist is supposed to have personal responsibility, meaning they take responsibility for their own actions.Bad, Evil, Good. whatever.
So, naturally being human, we are open to carrying a whole lot of guilt around with us. Baggage. We beg forgiveness from God because humans sometimes play on that fact.
Creating conflict within and all around as we struggle to maintain how we "try" to live.

Thankyou for giving me this opportunity to express my thoughts through your writing.
Peace be yours, always. Janet.xxx

Sounds like a horrible person. I wonder why he does that?
Surely there's a much better and nicer man below the surface. Maybe he just needs someone to show they care, to bring out the best in him.
I'd like to think so anyway.

Your in-put was rockin' though. That's for sure.
Not sure "rockin' was the right word to use but there you go. Just my opinion, for what it's worth. Janet.

Some good advice here but being a female, it's not quite as easy than it is for a male to "piss in the sink."
I'd be interested to know though. Are you one of those rare male species who at least has the decency to pour some sweet scented detergent around the basin afterwards, then gently rinse it clean, so as not to scratch the protective surface?
As for me, i do enjoy writing in the sunlight too. Especially after a shower, when i can see a rainbow or two.
Thankyou very much for some very good advice. To one of the many new poets on this site. It's a valuable contribution! xx Janet.

For me, though the pain is mentioned it is almost just in passing as the joy of meeting the baby, you have know so long already, the natural endorphines and hormones quickly rushing in to damped the pain and make you forget the worst of it. Great write, as a father of two, present at both, it's an experience I'm glad I didn't miss and I would of changed places.

It sounds like a problem with the cable for Internet connection. That also occurs here as well. At times, it takes longer then one day.
I guess for the time being you still were able to compose new write in spite of the temporary blurred vision. You made a point in your poetry… Twist about technology in general. It shows that the gadgets are prone to failure.
