And 'coping' is basically what we all do. I think such a bio gem reveals a true philosopher.
I'll try to catch up with more of your work.

A bit like 'unto the day is the fullness thereof' which I can't offhand pinpoint to the specific Biblical resource. It is a fine philosophy for a happy personal life. And fellowship. And poetry.

What a great evening in Marple - you know, I just love the way we all relate to one another, despite us all being quite different: that's the joy of sharing our love of words!
Wishing one and all a blessed Christmas - and thanks to John who faithfully heads our group each month!
With love, Dorinda x

Tommy, please check your last poem and switch all the 'whom's to 'who' as in 'he who'. I know they're the very devil, but lots of people may surf WOL this week. And check 'thrall';it's an old word.
I so hope you're not pissed. I always enjoy your work.

Welcome to WOL. I admire your honesty which is not, mostly, blaming everybody else for your own problems.
And yes, people are absolutely fascinating, just as you are yourself. You are a thinker, and I truly believe that thinkers survive, and prosper. Thank the Great Power that you have an active brain, the innate ability to juxtapose ideas, a sense of moral balance and personal ambition. These 'gifts' will give you advantage over all diversity. And they will also give you much 'grief' about the mindless cruelty of other people. So - compassion. Always nurture your compassion for all persons.
Anti-social is a odd idea. You seem, in fact, intensely 'social'. Just not following the accepted norm of your peers. It's a hard road, but it doesn't make you the one who is 'wrong', just rather wonderfully 'out of step'.
You might try to put your ideas into a more 'line structured' format. But, for now, you have much to say and you say it well. So keep writing. And take good care of yourself, and the little one so soon to be born.
Is 'Turtle' actual, or assumed?
I hope these comments are not too personal.

THE TREE THAT WALKS is reason enough why poetry should be published and disseminated. No other other art form can evoke such imagery without sacrificing some of itself in the process (except maybe painting and drawing), and this was a good sample poem for displaying such imagery.

HI Mark . I just wanted to retract my claim on a recent post about Your "cynicism being intact" re Sadiq Khan. I didn't wish to imply that your approach to life is cynical, in fact you have a shrewd observational skill, which may include elements of cynicism as in that case. It's hard to all things to all men, and I try to be lively and immediate in replying to comments, and to broaden contexts. So, please take this as a one-off. I would hate to think you got the wrong idea!
Have a good Christmas and vive les comments.

Hey Cynthia,
Thanks so much for commenting on Renewed (Soon). ^_^
It's a message to one's inner strength, but at the same time, it's a message from me to a personal friend who has gone through hell and is slowly regaining himself. Of course, like you mentioned, it can be a reminder to everyone that they can get through whatever and be stronger for it.
Always,
Mira

I shall try to read more. That's an impressive BIO.
I looked up 'audabe', just to be sure. It was tickling at the back of my brain, but I wasn't positive.
'Spuds' is terrific. You must be a difficult man with whom to have an easy conversation, your poetic antennae working constantly.
Actually 'beyond recognition'?

I had twins first-born, fraternal, and clearly understood the likelihood of twins twice, or more. I said, 'No.' They were the first to survive in three generations of multiple births in both families. A propos of nothing, just a similarity in background, other than Canadian, and poetry.
