Didn't they tell you
Your printer needs ink?
No wonder it's grumbling
It needs an ink-drink
You will have to ask it
(Kindly), which brand
They're so bloody fussy
(Nothing too bland)
Now dk how'd YOU
Feel not getting 'INK'
A brand of your beer
To drink, wink, wink, wink
So go to your printer
On bended knees
Ask for forgiveness
Say which brand now, please?
I could go on
In this foolhardy way
You ask "What's a cartridge?"
Damn!, forgot, another day ?

I'm pleased you were awake enough to read my comment 'yawn'.
(I thought 'zzzzzz' might be too complex). It's you my friend who was causing me to doze off by encouraging 'Sweet Dreams.' at the outset....what could I do?
You gotta admit it didn't have that comic spark to get me going (hence 'yawn') but we all need some serious stuff thrown in every now and again to bring us back to our senses hey?.....

Hi Jason! Tx for the comment on Litholife -to be honest, (occasionally) the stone with two dates on it hadn't come into my mind at all. Being Scottish I admit to being superstitious, so perhaps that explains it!

Thanks for the likes, Becky. Looking forward to digging into your work. Reading your bio, I understand how difficult it is to present slam poetry on the page. On the page, lines gotta break somewhere, though sometimes those breaks are at odds with the rhythm of the voice. That is why I always read poetry aloud, ignoring the breaks. Doing so allows one to truly hear the voice of the poet.

Hi Don, it's a strange one - there's no telling which creations will resonate with people and which ones might not; it's so unpredictable but like you say, irrelevant really.
The act, the release and the creation are the key. Writing is such a rewarding creative endeavour and reading other's creations - with all their eccentricities ? - constantly surprises and engages. I really enjoy your style and voice and always keep an eye out for your work. T.

I agree wholeheartedly
with your opinion of
"The Church"
Jesus would be appalled
at the wealth of the churches
vs. the poverty of the common man
all the churches ever do is
ask for money...
the church is as corrupt as the government
but far more hypocritical
throw the money-changers out!

I hear where you're coming from Tom. You wonder why something you think is good is 'ignored'. Then I say, hey? who cares, I enjoyed creating it. And yes, it is a 'creation'. Not just a collection of words.
Have just come across you. Gosh you've been around a while...... I liked 'Eccentricities'

I am basically a "nice" person.
but I am often misunderstood,
Like most poets I am not recognized
in my own time.
Only death will give me fame.
However I decided against it.
Once it occurs,
You can't come back from it.

Hi Dylan. Thank you for your comments on my poem "Itch Hunt" and on my profile. I appreciate the kind words.
I, also, enjoy your work and style. "Chemistry Betrays" especially stands out to me (as my inner "chem-lab" bursts beakers and crosses wires). Aggressive intro followed by powerful use of your epic lexicon. Would be a great slam.
Looks like you're just getting settled in to WoL? I am new here, too. Welcome aboard and hope to see more from you soon!

Droll are these poems
unabashedly so
they aren't too good
but so it goes,
I find humor in things
it just naturally flows
when it comes to a rhyme
I just can't say No.

Hi JC - a follow-up to your comment earlier today on my own profile
page. Whilst I was unsuccessful in completing an online contribution
here's a thought. IF you have a PayPal account it would be easy for me to send you the sum I would have sent previously - which you
could then use towards your chosen charity before you succumb to
stress and strain brought on by your efforts. Remembering a certain
Henry Ford of motor car fame:" Exercise is bunk. If you're healthy,
you don't need it and if you're sick you shouldn't take it." Boom-boom! ?
