Hello David - occasionally, i will trawl through the 300+ members of this site and dwell on a poet's work. Having now dwelled for far too long, i would just like to say how much i enjoyed reading your work.

Hey! Sorry I missed Freed Up, was feeling a bit overwhelmed by work (of which I've been shirking).
I love your poems, and love the titles too :)

Are you going to reproduce 'Boner' anywhere (no pun intended!)?

just went onto your nyspace if you like vampires here is a poem for you;
Your eyes are dark,
They hide your darkness within
Waiting to ousted
Your lips red like a rose
Full and bee stung.
Your pose inviting me to take a bite
Come to me and be a creature of the night.

I’d like to kiss your neck with butterfly bites
Hold you tight
In a death grip
Lead you to the undeath with breathless sighs of
Love,
Deep within your soul as you stare into my ageless eyes.

I’ll hold you tight as I bite
Caress you as you fall
As the death calls
I’ll let you feed on me.
Finally when you are sleeping
I take you to my tomb
I’ll be your groom you my bride
We will hide from the sun that you need no more
Then when the pale moon rises we will walk hand in hand
Under its light
I’ll be your eyes your sight
The most important light in your eternity.
Nothing will touch you my eternal red rose
As this is life you chose
When you invited me to take a bite.

Oh, very well written indeed. I was there once.
Found the strength to break free too. It's the inner scars which take longer to heal.
Still, i'm not bitter. No point is there.
Thanks, Janet.

The chicken thing could be quite embarrassing on a live open mic night unless you're good at tongue twisters. Although i suppose if you got it wrong it would be nice if the people laughed with you rather than at you. Better still when one can laugh at their own mistakes.
"Every object" screams "objection, subjection and intervention." All kinds of everything in this one. I enjoyed them so much i read them several times and still want to see more in them.
Thanks for entertaining me. janet.x

Oh, Louise, you are such a flatterer! Thank you for your blush-making comments. What a good excuse to read your works on here, and thank goodness, really like them...

I really enjoy the rhythms you create. There's a real beat and flow to what you write, never mind the wonderful, graphic imagery of your words. Simple, stark and too, too evocative...

Hi Barrie Obviously I don't think it obscure but if you check out some details of the arctic hare's habits and the mythology surrounding the animal, it may help. Here I'm almost identifying with it, as a mother, (and grandmother!)

HI There, you know I have had a pet Hedghog, wrote a story or two about him. Had to wear gloves to handle him, but all in all it was interesting.he would get a little upset if people moved to fast and roll into a ball of prickles, thus his name Mr Prickles, he would hiss a bit....soooo we would watch him alot. I think they are adorable really, those little black eyes and that tiny nose! Mine did not have fleas, but the dog did, so I understand what you say! take care and thanks! Clarissa

Thanks for the comment, Jeff.. Must admit too I like your newest poem here (Your other stuff is really good stuff too) - you have a beat in your pieces that is kind of like some of my own stuff.. (although I can't rhyme to save my life - lol) that I could certainly imagine going down really well.. I'm doing this piece myself at a reading in Manchester Central Library next month which I am looking forward to getting responses to!

Ahh, my point... I dont think the Argentine war was worth the pain it caused. Heros like Simon Weston described it perfectly: "I dont decide if its right or wrong, or who has the most claim on the islands... what is important is that the British citizens living there wished to stay British and that is what I faught for"

Hi Louise - I've just read your 'samples' (that sounds too medical) and really enjoyed them.

Hello Tomas, thanks for taking the time to read my writings.
I also enjoy rhyming poems but i try not to make a word fit just for the sake of it. Ha ha, there's a rhyme in there somewhere.
I find your seance and devils scripture intriguing, as i am a spiritualist medium and healer.
Very much a save the world person.
Spiritualists embrace all religions, colour and creed. Perhaps surprisingly, many of our congregation are Catholic.
I've been wading through Miltons "paradise lost," for about six months, amazing imagery there for devil poetry.
Thanks again Janet.
