Your reference to which you are referring
is sound, but keeps me from concurring
it was after writing it, and during
that I knew it would never be enduring.

to be covided = to have covid, (not grammatically correct!) You are far too easily shocked. I enjoy reading your poems, believe it or not. Keep digging, Jennifer

I don't know what "covided" means.
You have Covid?

Anyway, my poems fluctuate from serious to funny,
depending on the phase of the Moon.
Hence the "Moonlight" poem.
(it's as good an excuse as any.)
I am shocked that you are still reading my poems.
Haven't you any thing better to do?

Hello DK! Not covided ,just too many weeks of far too hot weather, well over 30C every day. Now am coming back to life again, as it is cool at night so one can sleep. How do you know she's plotting? What clues have you found? Gave my husband, unintentionally, please believe me!!!! an overdose of something he takes, and he behaved like a lamb for a week. The family all think it was a trial run! Can't you outsmart her? What happened to the big hole you dug in the yard, found another use for it? Liked Moonlight. You've become quite serious lately, just old age?

Jennifer

and lo it is now September and the leaves are starting to
turn brown and the grass is dying and still he had not heard
a word. He wondered if she had Covid or just got fed up.

Hello DK. Not with your last message, Where did I say that some men are better than others? Agree that all men suffer, but the ones who have been through a war or from the consequences of one, perhaps even more. Am notoriously as thick as a post, in an all male family, even the dog, the gaslighting is always on, so perhaps I've missed something? Can you explain, if you haven't been arrested for doing your wife in?!

Hi Greg

Sorry, only just seen your comment re Orison.

Yeh, I did wonder why you hadn't mentioned it - I had the opening and closing poems very much set in my mind for a long time, precisely because they bookend so very well. I had a real little epiphany as I played with that Newton's cradle, not long after my friend's death.

Oh give over, it's not too clever for you - it's easy, really ?

And thank you.

Thank you again for your kind comments. As always they are much appreciated. I also enjoy your poetry especially when you use the voice of dissent and opposition. All good poets champion a cause. Many have found themselves imprisoned or worse for their writings. I also like the illustrations you use. The one accompanying Cogitare is particularly good.

Keep up the good work and thank you again

Hello John, Interesting to hear about the verger's job. Agree absolutely about remembering ALL who fought with us in the war. I was quite moved to see how many there were from the Indian subcontinent, and then went off to see a friend. A book was open on the table with 'Namasthe', an Indian/Nepalese greeting, written in Italics on the page, and I can't believe it was a coinicidence! The ways of the Gods are infinite'.
Thanks for the comment on The War Cemetery., Jennifer
