GREAT GRAND KIDS
(Get your sick bags out)
GREAT GRANDKIDS
Each grinning sits astride...an old rheumatic knee
a pair of exuberant saplings...aged just four rings and three
two new babes...born in the woods
impatiently broke from eager buds
off a sturdy family tree
roots mulched firm...bedded deep
fed by antecedents...in their everlasting sleep
flourishing fixed...to a healthy mix
of assorted ancestry
