I shall try to read some more of your work. Welcome to WOL.
It might be a good idea to ease up on postings, while WOLers are becoming acquainted with you. A great many at once often go unread. Especially as the end of the month is only hours away, and they will all go into archives, so to speak. Easy enough to find, but definitely not in 'plain view', right up front.
That is a fine photo.

I fear shadow
And don't allow
It to grow larger
I certainly fear
I bear pain
And remain disturbed
With thoughts
I ought to make it right
As the night approaches
I try to reach
With thoughts covering you
And I follow through
Why can’t I close on?
And find the option
To remain with you
I feel this is true
The key is in your hand
Try to be a real friend
Come to my rescue
And offer love' due

It may help you gain readership to space out the poetry you place on the site, as each successive one replaces the last one before it on the blog entries. Nice, cohesive style you have though, and they all come together so well.

thanks for commenting on 'Elbow Yard' Ray - once again you have my sentiments and undercurrents nailed - you really are very perceptive. I'm, hopefully, moving way from this period of grieving - and this felt like a full stop - before moving on. I really appreciate you taking the time to analyse and comment - it is very much appreciated

..just reading your work, Racha, comments and all. The concept behind "explosion" is especially original and your voice seems strong. If it is good for you, express who you are, no matter the reception.

Cynthia poetry is what you say it is, it does not have to rhyme nor make sense- North American natives' chant wordlessly to summon up thier gods. Tommy xx

I enjoyed your tale of Ronnie Kray, Mark, thanks for passing it on. So much has changed. That was really their territory, but influxes of all races has re-defined the area. They were the days of the "geezers" almost passed into legend. I for one enjoy the vibe, though some of their associates were disreputable to say the least. For instance Lord Boothby and procurers of rent boys for the mob. Incidentally, I met Ronnie's driver, Checker Berry, from a family of boxers. He became a ticket tout in the 90s. Now passed on.

Ray - your mention of Reggie Kray on Jonathan Humble's
latest poem took me back to the 1960s and a pal of those
days in the East End who, as a young DC, nicked Ronnie Kray when Nipper Read's team brought those brothers to
justice. I'm happy to say that although he retired early
and took another direction in life, that pal also made good
elsewhere.
Cheers,
MC

This is so clever- deserved three readings before I was happy with my giving it proper attention.
Haven't seen you in ages. I hope all is well. Or am I wrong? I could have sworn I recognised the name from years ago. But your profile does not seem to bear this out."
Hello there,
Indeed it has been years!
First, the loss of the email with which my original blog (which is still floating around here at WOL!) was linked; hence the loss of access to said blog. Life then gets in the way of all sanity; and now an attempt at reconstruction and navigating the poetic waters again.
My gratitude for your kind words. Trusting all is well with you as well.
Feeling a little older and a bit more battered.
Such is life. :_)
See you round the site,
Frederick

Thanks for the kind comments on 'Sacred Path' Martin - it was written to commemorate by best friend who passed away in January - not sure where the picture is from - I nicked it off of that there internet - but it had the 'mystical' quality you picked up on - so seemed appropriate for the piece.
Hope you're well and hope to see you somewhere soon

Many thanks for your kind comments on 'Sacred Path' Ray - you are insightful as to the nature of the poem as I have just lost my best friend in the last month or so - and this was my way of honouring him without being too over sentimental (I hope). Thanks for taking the time to comment mate
