Hello Anthony, have added to 'The Naked Truth' site. Many thanks for commenting. Have just listened to Genesis- loved the lyrics and sea backdrop. Visiting Neil has given me an idea for a poem title too.

Thanks Tony for your kind comments, they're much appreciated. I don't tend to blog on Write Out Loud but if you wander over to the Poet's Soapbox (http://poets-soapbox.blogspot.com) I usually have something to say! If you're looking for more poetry samples there are some on my website - I don't update as often as I should but I'm aiming to do an "autumn clean" soon, upload some new stuff and also some links to other websites where there are samples of my work.

Hello Graham - many thanks for the comment on "I Protest!".
I will admit to being stimulated to getting it set out by certain WOL entries over the months - and a few exchanges of opinion in the process.
No names...no pack drill. :-)
Regards.

Hi JC - glad your found my post about "Waltzing Matilda" worth commenting on. I find it fascinating - and indeed, sinister - that the Franco/Bavarian(German) alliance you mention is busy trying to achieve the control of Europe in peacetime via dominance of the EU that it so signally failed to win at war over the past few centuries!
What about Norway handing them its Nobel Peace Prize? To me, that seems like rewarding the school bullies for restraining themselves from molesting the rest of the school playground! Don't they know about NATO in "No-way"?

Anthony,
Just viewed your `Genesis` again and having third thoughts,
I think the second ones were just age (and a bug) Looking at it again it seems that the build of pressure to use the `media` style of `production` will probably become too great to resist....I just worry that it may become something of a welter and that the more thoughtful kinds of poem might suffer by being
under produced....I`ve had some experience of playwriting and I know how much the `show not tell` is to the fore, and that this pictorial `showing` (even with the reproduced words) is still - with the music and colour - the strongest element of the `produced` poem. I fear sometimes in the direction of emotion rather than thought.
I know all this makes me an old fogey and that I`m swimming against the tide here.
Incidently, regarding your `Genesis` poem:
Did you see the Horizon thing `What happened before the big bang`...It was hilarious! what with the `inflation` theory, or the big bangy sort of `evolutionary` theory those guys are getting themselves into a right pickle (the only thing that seems to be certain is that the actual Big Bang Theory has died the death. A good job you didn`t plant any flags
Cheers Harry.

Hi Laura, 'Wisps' so glad you commented. Actually I sent that off at the same time as 'How Down at the Hyatt' to Poetry24, but they have yet to mention it.
I am mulling over the Face Book thing & will let you know. Sounds like a good plan.
Many thanks.
