Poetry Blogs (POETRY)
The sights of ourselves still shape us to divide,
immediate response to the craves and madness,
we feel the way we feel but tonight it's you inside,
burried in the senses out of the lightness.
And days are still days but the trouble collides,
for all the reasons we chose not to revile,
and all our fears, childlish alike,
echoing through our minds, rejecting denial.
Stay where you are a...

How do I love thee?
Let me count the ways.
I love how you wax poetic
about life, love, dreams.
I love that you wish upon stars
and count your blessings.
I love that you continue to love
with a thousand holes in your heart
and soar with broken wings.
I love how you speak to my soul
without saying a thing.

Not So White
Little Snow White's daddy died
Pretty girl cried and cried
Wicked Queen an ugly old tart
Sent huntsman to take her heart
Huntsman took Snow for a ride
But felt ever so guilty inside
Snow looked up and made her plea Huntsman said, ‘Go now! Be free’
He took his knife; he lit a cig
Then cut heart out of a pig
Snow White ran he felt good
She tripped over piece of wo...

To surround yourself with artists
You discover you’re not stuck to this game,
There is more than just poems of pain;
The political daily life,
The chaos of family,
The bounty is aplenty.
Like the ocean explorer covering uncharted territory,
The poet must explore the deeper meaning of life.
We’re all alike,
We seek the truth;
In it we see the real you.

rigorous exercise, training my mind
the center of my world, I give you my due diligence
love to watch me write by candle light, would you guide my hand and evoke my true penmanship
law of attraction, I cast it out, and ask around
I question myself, then take affirmative action
groundbreaking truths shatter walls, somebody hand me my protractor
searching the sea floor and tapping the wel...

single day awareness now does loom
not married or taken? apparently it spells doom
but if i can't have you tomorrow
my thoughts surely can
i'll send some admiration
best believe it man
type a message, or say something nice
"Sealed with a loving kiss" as the olde romantics say
not thinking twice
because if there's a next time around
I want a lover, not a taker
and sing so sweet to her...

I want to tell you how incredibly
imaginative, creative, talented
I think you are with your poetry,
writing, music, art...
but I hesitate to expose our
ignite impostor syndrome...
all live wires
that threaten to electrocute
our fragile muse
of a numbed,
So, instead of shouting...

Friend, we drink together
talking at a wedding
lit blue and gold
familiar faces dance around us
Friend, secretly, I wonder
if you were to open up your essence
lift a pen to kiss the paper
to vent your heart aloud
Friend, I long to know
what your poetry would be
if you chose to write
Which desires peskily linger
at the edges of your furrowed mind
which old flames still burn a fi...

Pretty much the only poem I have that is appropriate for Holocaust Memorial Day.
(Artwork: "Rabbi Loew and the Golem", from "The Prague Golem: Jewish Stories from the Ghetto", ed. Harald Salfellner, Vitalis, 2016. The artist is uncredited)
For centuries I’ve lain here undisturbed,
this synagogue’s hushed attic my bedchamber,
the life-spark in me stilled...

Poetry - Poem by Marie
I do it in the Bed room do it in the hall
I have also done it leaning on a wall
I tried it in the grass even on the beach
There is no where sacred or out of reach
I just love writing POETRY all day
seems that in verse I have a lot to say
just jot it all down, then re read
poetry is my food, I eat with such greed

Because I wrote it dont judge, its not me
I wrote lots about the killer look i am still free
A poem calls out in my head
I write fast flowing then put it to bed
Any subject i am known to write
From love in an disused mine
To the ups and downs of a swine
Read me enjoy me but please
Its not me, i just like to tease
Enjoy the poem dont take it to heart
As specially ...

Drowning in the Drought
At times I drip with poetry
The words simply pour out of me
A flow it seems no dam could ever stop
Until, I’m drowning in the drought
A flood of tears and mere self-doubt
That withers, in the barn, my finest crop.

Some days there is not enough
chocolate or booze
to chase away the blues
or stop torrential thoughts of love
gone too soon.
What's a lonely girl to do.
The only thing that eases the pain
is music from silent words
thought to be penned in vain.

Poets pour their heart and soul
into every poem recited
pulling from the depth of emotions
grabbing you by the heart
kicking you around
tossing you aside
feeling broken but alive
your heart soars
waiting to hear more

And tides are still the same as they were,
fluid numbers, one piece in folded milions,
telling us why we all need to reach the bottom,
embracing drops of broken brilliance.
Wait until it all comes down,
your whispers rest in front of the broken Avalon,
inside our shell is something we all found,
blue-red pictures reflected by the dawn.
And tides are still the same as they were,

Through the cuts of snares, nothing to rest till the evening swallows, these counterband thoughts, so wicked and hollow, that they make my heart full of pulse and out they go and strums the kingdom of never coming down boost, never to be me
so chased by gates that alter the heights, and by memories that sweep, or of a different time, whichever came first, only I was speeding against the horns o...

Staring into the East
I can see you stumbling back to me.
The stench of oil on your breath like liquor,
blood money lines your pockets like lint.
Terror color codes hang from your eyelids
the same way nooses hung from trees.
Watch the bodies ebb and flow
as they sway in the breeze.
Arms tatted up with childhood images of your
American dreams but
your body has bec...
