Thanks for the comment on 'Mist in the Menai'. Glad it brought back some good youthful memories for you. It is indeed a wonderful place.
I didn`t do it in quatrain stanzas as after I read it back, (having walked and witnessed this from Newborough Warren across to the mountains), the speed of the mist just captured a staccato type rhythm and was always the focal point... majestic and free. It didn't look right but it was just how it was.
Thanks again Harry. Much appreciated.

John.
Thank you for you kind comments on 'Mist on the Menai'. I am still giggling to myself about your trainspotting story. Cracker! (Maybe not for you at the time though).
Great bit of improvisation with the polythene bag though, and travelling through the Bangor tunnel will never be the same for me.
I did write a piece last year called 'In Llanfairpwllgwyngyll'. If you do read it I hope it gives you good memories and not nightmares!
Thank you.

Koans come when you least expect them Laura. I was puzzling over the cult of celebrity actually and why/how people want to be "someone" on the world's stage, and how if they achieve some celebrity can they keep their selfness?
Me, I'm just happy to teach my sixteen-month old granddaughter to blow kisses.
Thank you for reading it Laura.

One person's 'oddball' is another person's thinker. I prefer the latter. I operate on an honesty level that doesn't sit well with many people. I think that's why I found it so hard to 'fit in' for so many years. I LOVE how your mind works :)

Laura, thanks so much for reading 'Moon Month', and making such an encouraging comment. The first motivation was, in fact, many months after the death of a very dear friend. But the idea gained much more richness as I gave the whole concept some really deep thought.
I don't consider myself bold at all, just trying for a little female honesty, never sure whether I'm an oddball, but relatively certain that I'm not.

thanks for commenting on 'dragon's nest' Cynthia - yes - the perceived 'threat' of windfarms appear to be that they're unsightly and noisy - a glance below the soil or at the clouds may show us what the dirty alternative is ;-) appreciate you being so supportive

Hiya Helen
Many thanks for your note on my 'medley' :D Haha - eh, it's taken 5 years to get to that point! You should have seen me for the first two years - a quivering nauseous wreck haha ;)
I've only done one gig down south so far and that was at a festie. It's a bit far to travel really and I'm not famous enough to get paid top (or even middle, sometimes bottom) dollar for performing ;) And I'm deffo not organised enough to sort out my own mini tour like a mate of mine just has. But anytime you're up North, gis a shout lass :)

Hi Cynthia,
Thank you for your recent comments on my poems. I admire your work very much, in fact a line in one of your poems really inspired me to write a poem on a similar (or perhaps not so) subject.
I really appreciate your take on things.

p.s. the poem in question was 'Six Fifteen on a Rainy Evening' something about the curve of a thigh ;)

a 'skit' Harry - surely you realise this is no mere skit ;-) this is an ancient and forgotten language. There was much more but I cut it significantly - and I keep being tempted to go back and right further chapters. Oh My Crow - what have I done?????
Thanks for your kind comments again - always a pleasure for me to know I've piqued your interest

It would be more like 'Scumbag College' Cynthia (Young One's reference). I'm waiting for someone to identify the root language of 'Crow Tongue' it is based on a very specific form - but has been manipulated. Intrigue eh? Thanks so much for your kind comments again - I appreciate them greatly

Thanks Corr for reading and actually liking my work ! I meant to thank you earlier, but new manager, female, insecure and rather mannish. Hates me ;) Numbers are what I work with, menopausal women scare me more :0

Harry, you're right, the Wiki entry on Aldo Mori is fascinating - the fact that he was trying to broker a power-sharing deal with the Communists, which neither the Americans nor the Russians were keen on. Amazing what you can stumble upon down a back street. Greg

Hi Cynthia - apologies for my tardiness in replying to your comments on 'song of the wandering' - I've been absent (without leave) for a couple of weeks - and spent little time close to my PC. Thanks so much for your (usual) insightful comments - it is a sad subject which does require careful consideration before approaching - I'm glad you think it worked - if it hadn't it could be seen as opportunistic or morbid - neither of which, I hope, are true.
I appreciate your comments
thanks
Ian

aye up Tommy - sorry - been absent (without leave) last couple of weeks - so only just seen your comment on 'song of the wandering' - aye - as you say, similarities with migrant voyages for centuries - and they will end up, if they survive, being taken advantage off in western towns and cities - as sure as night follows ay. thanks for your comments

I take it mother looked on drink as a sort of Jekyll and Hyde juice, that makes Scoutmasters view their charges from a different prospective, and funnily enough, as a result of our evolvement to a more tolerant society is now un-shockingly taken for granted as part of their remit.

Hello John, thanks for your reply, and tentative explanation. I suppose it was slightly unfair to ask for clarification - it's poetry, after all.
What you did say though, describes quite uncomfortably the way i kind of feel myself.
Thanks for your kind comment on my work. Before we descend into a tasteless mutual appreciation, you have a distinct and compelling style of writing, which i like.
Take it easy.
