It was shocking to learn
When you turned
Your back and left forever
My mind was seized with fear

Nights have turned barren
Hell took over the heaven
My heart was shattered
Even I was little afraid

No, I will blame no one
But try to learn
Why did it happen to me?
Even though I was true

Many thoughts may enter
But you have an ability to alter
The wind in your favor
And at the same time earn an honor

IT may certainly prove
And move
Your thoughts in a positive direction
With your firm action

Just discovered your work, through 'Move On' in today's poetry blogs. Loved it and the two in your profile - particularly 'Threadbare'. I shall now look up your book and read the other poems you've posted which I must have missed if they are anything like those I've read so far.
Keep up the excellent work - you're now a favourite of mine.

I know now that you made me feel alone and that I am not entirely alone like you always said. I know very well that I was slowly becoming you, something I never wanted to be because you are a bitter soul. I realised that when I became the worst version of yourself you panicked because you saw your true self and would not have loved to meet the monster you created, you labelled me to make yourself feel better. More than ever I realise now that this evil in me is your doing but once it got bad you decided as usual to paint yourself as a saint. I wonder how it feels like going to bed knowing that you turned someone into a creature with no soul. How it feels everytime you belittle me and tell me that I am at your mercy and yours alone? How does it feel to crush someone just to feel in control? How it feels to see the same person you claim to 'love' die slowly from the poison you feed them? How does it feel to see me with no soul.....

Dear MC., I was both sad and disheartened to hear that your poem Double Guff has been withdrawn from the site. The poem merely expressed a view point with no bad language or overt prejudice. I can think of a number of previous poems which should have fallen into this category but not yours. There are none so illiberal as those who proclaim to be liberal. Don“t be disheartened but press on my good friend. People went to firing squads for less.

Hazel - thanks for the comment. You may be interested to know that I received a note from a WOL "moderator" to tell
me my poem had been removed because it did not comply
with WOL Codes of Conduct and furthermore that WOL was
not a platform m= for my political views. I think back on what I've seen on the site and the foul, often vituperative
language used in political attacks and criticisms - and I can
only wonder at the reasoning behind this decision/action.

Keith - I've been informed by "Alex W" (a "moderator" at WOL) that my poem DOUBLE GUFF has been removed
because it does not comply with WOL Codes of Conduct and
furthermore that WOL is not a platform for my political
views (sic). How odd, considering what has gone before on
the site, not least involving often foul abusivel ;anguage.
We may draw our own conclusions about the reasoning
behind this decision/action.

And fully intended to achieve them
Even though I have high ideals
I believe them to be real

I am a simple caring person
In practice and in behavior real human
I love frankly speaking people
Who really seek through struggle

Morning Martin!

Hope you had a lovely weekend ?

Thanks so much for your note on my latest.Well, the middle verse does contain a folk song that was sung especially for me at a festival last year and is one that I love, so the poem does actually have a folk feel to it ? It's all taken from festivals I've been to and about how much I love them. Cannot WAIT for summer to start proper!

Hi Hazel, thanks for your comments re "Plans on hold".
l use "thoughts" to act as a pivotal and personal expression of what would otherwise be a too factual, impersonal account of events.
I appreciate and welcome any and all such advice.

I use the capitalisation of the third person singular as not to weigh down the line with a period.
Try it.

'oooh's' and 'aaahhhs', grunts and groans, whistles and chirps are language in common to us all. No need of complex voice patterns or organised grammar whatsoever for basic communication.

'conference a ready man' is a very apt expression, meaning, I take it, one who is 'working with other people to discuss and carry out a particular plan' of any kind.

Happy Easter, Tommy, to you and yours. I always enjoy your input.
