Hi Isobel, thank you for commenting on "Flesh". Before I joined WOL I had only ever written rhyming poetry, but I have recently dabbled with free verse - in "Arillas" and "Warm Embrace" for instance, yet sometimes I have to actually change verses because they ended up rhyming anyway!! I actually think rhyming works better with comical poems, but free verse is probably better with the romantic. Thanks for advice anyway, always welcome, and I shall give it more of a try. xx

John is a really nice man , if you ever get to meet him you will have a great time, he is very down to earth and a lovable rogue. I have just wrote an article on him inc an interview. You can find it on pennyblack or next month I think it is going up on this site.
If you get to met Johnny you will have a good time he is really interesting and funny, say hello from me and tell him I will catch him again soon. Oh I nearly forgot as with everyones heros you do get nervous when you are with them but with John he makes you at ease and you soon feel as though you have been pals for years so dont worry, if you ever get the chance to meet him take it , you will never forget it.

Hi Cyn - "crimplene & tweed" - you are so kind to me & my poems - I don't know what I've done to deserve it, since many of them are just daft throwaway ideas. I remember commenting on yours about "what women want" type of theme a while ago which was really good, but sometimes it doesn't seem fair that one or two poets just seem to "ring our bell" & yet others ignore them. Thanks Dave - it was kind of you to mention it. Yes it was a lot of fun, especially in the early days. There have been some colourful characters to allude to, regrettably not all still here. It is time to move on when you struggle to find that spark and motivation though. WOL is a constantly changing site - it will be interesting to see how they develop it. I am hopeful it will be in a way that keeps everyone happy.
And yes, I would agree that very many people work hard behind the scenes, for nothing - we are very lucky.

You've said that you'll be parking WOLOP until blogs are run on a different basis (though someone else could take it over). That could mean it may not resurrect. It hasn't lasted long but while it did it brought a lot of pleasure and interest (and a lot of work for you). It shouldn't end without someone thanking you. So...um...thank you.

Makes you think - there's lots of people do stuff for WOL on a voluntary basis. Does anyone ever thank them?
