Don re HTS - always good to get positive feedback - will be heading off to the Spoons later for me daily slurpo as the Aussies might say. Better I make sure there's no Kango poo on the pavement though - wouldn't want to slip up. You never know with my local town what's going on with all the whirring cranes - ever the building site is Woking - you want to take a look at the place - always something to write about here that's for sure or do I mean gripe about. Whatever. Cheers. P ?

Thanks for the words on Marbles. Total nightmare all this info bombarding us wherever we go - what used to be addictive is now becoming a total nuisance. So info overload - go take a jump somewhere squishy. ?

Unfortunately I'm lacking
a lucky charm
Also I'm lacking
a snoring alarm
With thunderous snoring
I'm fearful of harm
Unfortunately I'm lacking
a port in a storm.

One of the most beautiful things is to read a poem that takes you on a journey. Samples shows the vulnerability, courage, and strength take me as I am. While loving the perfect imperfection you made. Love it dope poem.

and here i thought i was the only American on WOL. haha
I live in Texas with a toad, a lizard and the neighbor's cat.
the toad & lizard are okay, but the cat is a bandit and marauder.
unlike the cat, i came to poetry late in life, so late, I have very little
time left, so I write everyday. then I bother people with my poetry.
it's a sad situation for them. for me, it keeps me off the couch
and out of rehab.

Thank you for commenting on Marbles Don - appreciated. There's another poem about marbles somewhere in the making - the names of different types such as glarnies, if I remember correctly. They were the best kind and I hated losing those. Costly too then. P.

That’s some powerful poetry you are sharing Adam. One makes me want to go swimming and float for eternity, another reminds me of a time capsule that could be opened 1,000 years from now to decipher how we made it through the mayhem to continue the human race. Definitely adding you to my favorites to enjoy your lyrical lessons❣️???

No therapy is needed as I am armed with a mighty fountain pen, writing paper and a blotter, not to mention a black telephone with a cable and a wireless set at my elbow.

Hi Ray! so sorry about all the fuss over 'tiredly'. I didn't read your comment, but I would have thought it was quite normal to suggest it didn't exist - np at all.
Loved your 'Genesis' am still seeing the despairing face beneath the ice - such an unusual image. Will get nihilistic when have time, or start quackling - if easier!
By the way, things have picked up, I would say - referring to the graffiti period.

You bring me fodder
Food for thought
Don't ever stop
Don't leave me nought
Cat plays with mouse
What's this dead rat?
Cat waits for mouse
While on it's mat
This could go
On and on
Have to go out
Be back, not gone.......

I have also come to writing poetry late in life. As well as wishing to stir emotions in the reader it is the effect of stirring my own emotions that was unexpected - and rewarding......

Fab photo on your bio. Terrific bio too. Interesting how, in the small version by each entry, the picture looks entirely different, like two glowing eyes.
Did you ever read 'The Naked Ape'? Could well be eons before your time. But, maybe not.
