Hi Isobel. I presume you got to hear the audio remixing of your poem at the exhibition in Wigan. I did a similar thing with John at Leigh Turnpike, but I couldn't get to the exhibition (it was only on for one night). John did send me an audo loop, however, and that sounded good. I will try to listen to "Cramp9ng My Style" on the features section. I have hardly delved into the features so far, but then again, we do live in a world of too much information.

NOW THEN! It's LIVERpoetry! tonight (WED 12 MAY) at the Pilgim pub, Pilgrim Street, central Liverpool L1 9HB. Open-mic. You came to the launch event (at a different venue) and it would be good to see you again soon.

I followed your comments on the state of this site with interest. The people who run it appear to be most reluctant to give LIVERpoetry any publicity in the news section. Hey ho, the petty politics of the poetry scene!

Hi, Lynn! Lots of thanks for your comment on "Ballad about the soldier" Thanks for understanding. You know, when I wrote it I was calm. But now, every time when I reread it, a shiver pierces through my body.
Your poems are really brave with intelligent thoughts. And I like the way you write. Very nice!
With warmest wishes, Larisa

Nicky, I nearly croaked when I saw your message. How could you have known I've been thinking of you so much! I fully intended to make contact today - meant to last week but got caught up with children. I'm so glad all is well. The final stages of pregnancy are very trying (sort of coupled with 'O Lord! It's going to start all over again. When will I ever be ME!'). I am only empathising through my daughter's triple births. I had 'two for one', and chose not to risk another egg-set of possibly three; the chance factor was very high. Write as you can, for it's marvellous therapy for damn near everything. Carry a pad and pencil everywhere, especially in the bath (presuming you might actually get the odd one.) I'm being silly now.
Lots of love,
Cynthia

Hi Cynthia, how are you? Wish I could say that I was in possession of a beautiful baby girl, but still waiting,. Feel Like I have been pregnant for 10years now and not the mere 10months that it is. I can't even write at the moment, everything is hormonal dribble, or hot air - ha, I am like a ballon that is ready to pop!- I am reasonably well though, if worn out and a mere shadow of my former self!! I am hoping that Kara Fe (fe with an accent over the 'e') Burrows should be here very shortly, and then at least I can get back to normal, even if general life will be upturned again. Once again, hope you and yours are well and will keep you informed. We have had some really bad viruses in thr computer and when it is working doesn't help me at the minute that it is in the attic bedroom,I need my laptop back. Take care, nicky xx

Thanks for commenting on my latest Cynthia - you could never ever sound like a jerk and you are spot on. In some ways we are more honest to a screen than we are to a set of eyes and that can land us in trouble... The poem was also about how artificial connections can strangely give comfort.
Sorry to note your absence off the site but am hoping you may have some good poems to commend. Sling your April ones in, if you haven't had time to look through May. If you are having problems with blogs like me, you might like to check out the site feedback discussion thread that gives a few suggestions... x

Look forward to meeting you at a future gig.

Andy, thank you for comenting on In Grip of Silence. Is one of my un-crypric pieces, not my usual style. Glad you liekd it as I wasnt sure about it really. It seemed bland for me. I love your work , Had a good look at some of it above. Love the animals in their bags and the private space. Animals in their bags is brilliant! reminds me of toting toys to school in my bag as a kid, childrens imaginations are great and will extend to infinitate possibility. So touching that you had your butties. Maybe the animals in the bags ate the other kids sandwiches...em

thanx for your comment, Andy! Yes, the latest piece is the sad one, and it's very jumpy in rhythm and uneven, passable lines are not supported by rubbish lines, but i suppose every now and then everybody writes just "steam-out" piece :-) Hope your computer is fine by now.

Arsony, arsony, it has to be arsony. Infamy, infamy, someone's got it in for you.
Can it possibly be true that you are cancelling the Bards? Couldn't it possibly take place on the ashes? Was amazed to read about it on the home page - let's hope the character isn't spoilt when they rennovate it.
Hope to see you soon anyway. Isobel x

Thank you for your comment, Andy ! ( somebody said that i should answer comment in profile rather than in the thread). What i absolutely love about this place - nobody said that it reminds Emily Dickinson ( practically the only poet that I know).Artists and amateur artists are not like that - if they give you a compliment it's always accompanied with "it looks like Degas( Monet, Soutine) :-)))
