Please don't Ann; not on my, or indeed anyone's account. I meant what I said. No one should ever feel thay have to quit because of the words/actions of others. We all add our own colour to this place, and it would certainly be a lot less colourful without you around. Love your new pic by the way, reminds me of something I once wrote ...
Take care of yourself,
Best regards,
A.E. X (and Albert, of course X);-)

I am still trying to be brave enough to write something myself and Lynn's poems are very inspirational. Very topical, from her heart and with lots of wit.

Hi Isobel, re the song, you are right i don't remember it but i get the humour now i know what you mean.
As for the Tudor, it's unlikely to be honest, but ta for asking.

Sorry - that's my stupid sense of humour. Do you remember that song - not sure who sang it - probably Fred Estaire or someone ancient you won't remember. Anyway - it went 'I don't dance, so don't ask me, I don't dance, so don't ask me - then I don't remember the rest of the lyrics - as is my way...
You should come along with Louise or Sarah to the Tudor one Thursday. I'm sure you'd enjoy it even if you didn't perform. I'd like to meet you. It's on tomorrow, but that may be too short notice. Will hopefully meet one day.
Isobel x
ps There are lots of things I don't do, even when asked...compering for one! I keep thinking I ought to have a go and then I remember the last time I did it...

Hi Steve - thanks for paying me a call. Don't think I can make it tonight. Don't like travelling on my own into Liverpool LOL - have also had a bit of a stressful week for one reason and another. Will definitely try next month - it's been too long! xx
ps You should send your audio poem to Paul. I remember hearing it at Leigh and they were all good. It would be good hear it again on Jukebox

Thanks Rodney - almost ready to tread the boards once more. Thinking of an open mic here or there first for practice. So much to read on here it's difficult to know where to start!

Hi Isobel. I presume you got to hear the audio remixing of your poem at the exhibition in Wigan. I did a similar thing with John at Leigh Turnpike, but I couldn't get to the exhibition (it was only on for one night). John did send me an audo loop, however, and that sounded good. I will try to listen to "Cramp9ng My Style" on the features section. I have hardly delved into the features so far, but then again, we do live in a world of too much information.
NOW THEN! It's LIVERpoetry! tonight (WED 12 MAY) at the Pilgim pub, Pilgrim Street, central Liverpool L1 9HB. Open-mic. You came to the launch event (at a different venue) and it would be good to see you again soon.
I followed your comments on the state of this site with interest. The people who run it appear to be most reluctant to give LIVERpoetry any publicity in the news section. Hey ho, the petty politics of the poetry scene!

Hi, Lynn! Lots of thanks for your comment on "Ballad about the soldier" Thanks for understanding. You know, when I wrote it I was calm. But now, every time when I reread it, a shiver pierces through my body.
Your poems are really brave with intelligent thoughts. And I like the way you write. Very nice!
With warmest wishes, Larisa

Nicky, I nearly croaked when I saw your message. How could you have known I've been thinking of you so much! I fully intended to make contact today - meant to last week but got caught up with children. I'm so glad all is well. The final stages of pregnancy are very trying (sort of coupled with 'O Lord! It's going to start all over again. When will I ever be ME!'). I am only empathising through my daughter's triple births. I had 'two for one', and chose not to risk another egg-set of possibly three; the chance factor was very high. Write as you can, for it's marvellous therapy for damn near everything. Carry a pad and pencil everywhere, especially in the bath (presuming you might actually get the odd one.) I'm being silly now.
Lots of love,
Cynthia

Hi Cynthia, how are you? Wish I could say that I was in possession of a beautiful baby girl, but still waiting,. Feel Like I have been pregnant for 10years now and not the mere 10months that it is. I can't even write at the moment, everything is hormonal dribble, or hot air - ha, I am like a ballon that is ready to pop!- I am reasonably well though, if worn out and a mere shadow of my former self!! I am hoping that Kara Fe (fe with an accent over the 'e') Burrows should be here very shortly, and then at least I can get back to normal, even if general life will be upturned again. Once again, hope you and yours are well and will keep you informed. We have had some really bad viruses in thr computer and when it is working doesn't help me at the minute that it is in the attic bedroom,I need my laptop back. Take care, nicky xx

Thanks for commenting on my latest Cynthia - you could never ever sound like a jerk and you are spot on. In some ways we are more honest to a screen than we are to a set of eyes and that can land us in trouble... The poem was also about how artificial connections can strangely give comfort.
Sorry to note your absence off the site but am hoping you may have some good poems to commend. Sling your April ones in, if you haven't had time to look through May. If you are having problems with blogs like me, you might like to check out the site feedback discussion thread that gives a few suggestions... x

Hi Max - it was lovely to meet you also. I can now officially declare you to be a 'real' person with a complexion I would die for! You are very talented and your poetry is mature, which had left a few of us wondering.
Look forward to meeting you at a future gig.
