Thanks for taking the time etc, and yes this time I really mean 'the time'
Hey'up Dave was done a while ago, and then I decided that I should show some balance, and the next two (making up the Trilogy) came along quite close together. The Church was obviously the next target, but Michael Grove? Is Michael Gove a real person?? Surely not! He can't be can he?

I wasn't protesting, at all. I was confused, and then thought I'd guessed at what lay beneath your cryptic comment.

Thank you M.C. Newberry for your eloquent observations and comments on Vernal Equinox. I wrestle with notions of judgmental assumptions, thumbs up or down opinions and whether we know anything about perfection. Its all weather to me anymore; I either dress appropriately for it or stay inside.

Hi Harry, could you check your email. Both myself and Kemal Houghton have been trying to contact you. I have sent photographs of yourself taken at the spoke - very good ones, I think you'll like and also details of Chester Poets. Kemal, I think wanted to speak to you about the possibility of going on his radio show with your poetry.
Hope all is well...love to you and Yvonne from me and my better looking half :)

I am a simple non academic soul, although I have attended 3 Univesities, I don't hold with much academic thought now. I write my straight from the heart [simplistic] poetry because I feel the need to express myself this way. I do not feel obligated to any political movement, although I consider myself well left of centre. I have a particular hatred of the tories and what they are doing to ruin the country with their targetting of the poor, oblivious of all the harm they are doing. I try not to bear grudges but then I am human and can get upset when attacked by people who should know better. I try to be true to myself which isn't always easy in this lying cheating world. I do the best I can in spite of indifference and rejection but then I believe I am a non=conformist and have been most of my life with all the pain that incurs.

Dave, Barnsley is the cultural soul of Yorkshire. (Many would say, "Arsoul"). The dialect is almost unintelligible and I say so as someone who lived there for 11 years. I went to an Open Mic in Thurgoland some weeks ago. Kes meets Deliverance.

Hi Cynthia Thanks for comments on 'Casablanca', especially for spotting the dodgy apostrophe! 'Casa Branca' in line 3 is corect because I'm referring to the original name.'Casa Blanca' is the hispanicised form that we all now use in the West and goes back to the Spanish protectorate.

Ian - no worries. I know a little of Tony Benn, but enough to know just how strong he was as a political personality - certainly someone not afraid to speak their mind. I can imagine him being a hero to many, not least to those of a poetic voice.
You are blatantly a rock star. One of the biggest on here, if I may be so bold. It's clear to see and shouting itself out loud :)

thanks for the comments on 'all that is left' David - pleased that you liked it - he was a hero, of sorts, for me.
also pleased you liked the videos - I enjoyed the wakefield piece - it's special performing something on the streets where you were born (not literally - ha)and to your 'neighbours' - I also enjoyed the 'with backing' tracks - the dormant rock star in me coming out at long last :-)

Hi Jeff, I hope you are well. I was amazed to realise that it was 2009 when we last talked!! Time must move differently in the poetry dimension! Only through browsing around have I twigged there is a poetry event at the Brooklyn. I have worked in Farnworth on and off now for the best part of 20 years and used to enjoy a cheeky pub lunch there on a Friday! Hopefully, I can come along on the 20th April, I have never performed my poetry in front of an audience before but perhaps now is the time to give it a go!

Thanks for your comment on 'A Room, Midnight' Cynthia. I don't have a definite theory on its topic, only that I was trying to express the sense of a sinister ceremony of some kind taking place. Not one of my cheerier pieces, certainly!

Hi Dave,
Thank you for your advice about the poetry workshop, I do want to do something observational that will have the children thinking more about the language they are using. We'll see...
I hope you don't mind, I have shared your 3d printer poem with our technician and a product designer we work with, touching and hilarious, it left me really in the mood for that good pint of beer!

thanks for the kind comments on 'the perfect alibi' MC and the update on JFK. I'm having a breather from all things Kennedy at the moment as I gorged myself way too much over the anniversary with books and TV. I've got the biog 'an unfinished life' by Robert dallek and 'one minute to midnight' by Michael dobbs to read next - I'm staying away from conspiracy theories for a while because, to be honest, I think most are just sensationalist nonsense :-)
