God bless the dead

Dont worry my brothers,

Save a spot for me cus I'll see you soon.

These thoughts and memories,

The dreams that consume.

Me...

Had me thinking on life, feel choked till I can't breathe.

Losing my people, blinded me to the better things in life I couldn't see.

Losing these people brought tremendous amounts of pain.

Moving on in life, till my heart froze and changed.

The only thing in life that's promised is death.

In these cold nights seeing the mist from my heartless breath.

We was young kings I remember our childhood dreams.

But you had to see god first, i wish you didn't have to go instead i wish it was me.

They say you live in the memories of those you leave behind.

I lost too many, I've wish not to count.

Struck with calamities time and time again.

I often wonder should I let people come close to me. I feel reservations which often leaves me in doubt.

Could I handle the feeling of loss?

When I've had to bury many family members and close friends.

Close friends more like my brothers.

That tore my soul, would it ever feel whole again?

I lost three to cancer

Four in car crashes

Seven naturally

One in my arms.

Even though your spirits still here.

Yet those heart beats are now gone..

Young kings, remember our promise to each other.

We'll walk through life till our time comes for us to die.

Save a spot for me up in heaven.

I'll live with the memories of you all, till it's my time.

I'll see you soon....

Save a spot for me,

We'll reunite again

My thoughts and prayers with you always.

God please bless the dead

Po I appreciate that I do. I was looking for that canvas and finally think I've found it.

Everything that comes from me crazy as it is sometimes. It's my way to let things out. I appreciate the welcome!!!

I hear you Po!!!?

Robert please accept my deepest condolences, it's a painful truth we all have to deal with from time to time.

The important thing is we find joy in the beautiful things we have in life.

Tomorrow is never promised, this post I recalled on my memories of the losses in my life.

Theres many positives and beauty to capture too!

Do.RoThy, thank you for your encouragement. Alot of memories went into it

May their pious souls rest in peace!!

A heart wrenching write. Lots of tears in the words....lots of brave hearts in the words and lots of sorrows now fossilized in yourr poem for generations to read after we are gone.
