Veins
She has everything that shes ever wanted and yet she feels like her world is coming in around her
She feels everything collapsing and everything settling through
The claustrophobia seeps through her veins and makes her muscles stiff like creepy floorboards
Her childhood hadn't hit its demise but now that shes growing older she finds her self growing darker
She finds her hair getting longer w...

Desolate
i am alone, and as i drown they mock my pain
they drop stones in my satchel
they slash my open wounds to watch me bleed
they throw knives at my face hoping i'll break
and yet i dont
i smile and i move through life and sometimes i cry but yet i dont
i sit home (alone) and scream but my voice echoes
my voice seeps through the cracks in the window and through the empty halls
and once again ...

Tonight
Tonight I realized its not up to you to decide me.
Its not my job to initiate conversation,
Its not my requirement to put on more makeup,
You don't get to decide what shirts you think look good on me.
Tonight I realized its not my place to lower myself to you.
I don't have to make sure you're satisfied,
I don't need to stop what I'm doing to answer to you.
There's only one of me, and ther...

Mirror
you would not believe how easy it is to break a mirror!
and we're not talking the ones that you see in the clearance sections at stores,
we're talking about the mirror that shows you how you think about yourself.
this mirror is one made of a very special glass,
one that comes in all different shapes and sizes for every person,
one that is very often...fragile.
a child often begins their ...

Separation
i love you. and i want you in my life, forever and always.
and that's that.
but there are always dark masses that get in the way,
metal bars that prevent our love from seeping through,
and that's that.
we were separated by these bars and I reached out,
trying to kiss you through the small openings between the rungs
but like a slap across the face the cold metal parted us,
and that's th...

Seasons
back in the time when the leaves crunched under our feet
we kissed and the world stood still,
but as leaves fall so did we
like the frigid air was our relationship,
glances and looks exchanged and meaner ones received
but as ice thaws so did we
as the flowers blossomed the looks weren't as harsh
back in the state of love and happiness we were
and as the sun gets hotter so did we
our...

Eyes
you had knocked on my door that evening
with nature wrapped in plastic
you in your gorgeous suit
with your gorgeous eyes
but not the eyes that were mine
you spoke the words that your heart could only shout
and the pour of admiration coming out of your gorgeous eyes
was too much for me to take
(in my mirror I saw a stick
an odd shape, not one hint of sun;
in your mirror you saw heave...

Black Lines
black lines under her eyes
tear stained pillow by the end of the night
and the smell of his cologne
lingering in the air for only a fraction of a second longer
she waits
painfully
for the day that she can let go and run
out of the dark mass some call heartbreak
when she can faithfully proclaim
that she will start the next day
and end it with a dry pillow in sight
...
