The Sun’s Litany
Proud and true
Would surely know
If he was untrue?
His words a balm to
My body only
What he holds dear?
Oh heart, emotions be
Craving sweet shore
Safe arms to pull me close
Cherish my heart
My essence close
Play and laugh
With carefree joy
Dance our hearth

rain spatters lonely grief
only my blue umbrella's
a consolation and relief
she's left me for another
I'm stuck in a Scotch mist
imagining her in his arms
the passion of their tryst
but for my blue umbrella
I'd sink down and drown
or reach for my hat and
decamp to another town
the storm rages overhead
my umbrella keeps m...

Below these clouds I wonder when I'm going to see the sun again.
I heard a rumour it might not be there... anymore.
But come the rain, and come the wind...
Come storm, come thunder, come lightning...
Come every single shoddy thing the world can throw…
They'll find me no downtrodden sod,
No trembling leaf, no breaking clod,
For I, and the wandering sun, do not so quickly pass.

today I saw the sun
for the first time in
a long time
a cheerful ray brushed itself
against my cheek and
under my chin
as if to lift my head for my eyes to see
the world lit up
and for the first time in a long time
it made me smile

A world functioning through the sunlight
We are blessed ...blessed day light
Sun rays create moon light
To break the darkness when its night
Trees and plants grow because of this
Yes the process of photosynthesis
No sun no life
We need it
Food that grows ..the sun it feeds it
No sun no vitamin D
No sun no you and me
Essential to existence
And when life seems cold and dark I'll
