her arms knitted around him
they race from bay to beach
chasing the burning sun
with hair wet and smi...

Lie with poetry
If I could lie with poetry as if beside a lover,
Rhymes like arms to hold me, laden pages as a cover
between me and my reality, the truth I try to hide,
Too feeble for the malice of the world that waits outside.
If I could lie with poetry as if upon a lover,
Minds meeting as hearts beat to find the rhythm of the other,
Words caressing skin, or tasting sweet on lips so red,

We were strangers by the pool
there was summer on your skin
I lay low, opened my whole body
in the hope that you would find me
Then taking it the distance
from the shore raised to the sky
there were many sailors scheming
on the bending of your knee
