I continue to be facinated by those clay figures.
I wonder who they are? and who made them?
Were they found in an ancient tomb?

Thank you so very much for all the time you've spent reading and liking my poems.
“Friendship is born at that moment when one person says to another, ‘What! You too? I thought I was the only one.”

“Do Not Stand on Kissing Rocks”

I can't read what that sign says under the man & woman statues.
I can read "Danger" but the rest is blurred.
What does it say?

Hi, Vautaw you say...
It sounds like the beginning of a horror story.
I wish I could write horror stories they hold much suspense
People do like being sacred... if evil gets its comeuppance
I can’t believe it’s true. Surreal.
Surreal it is V, not so much dreamlike more a living nightmare.
Your comment about the Spanish flu is a good observation, I can not begin to imagine what the Black Death was like, nor come to that the spread of aids due to invading occupying soldiers who rape indiscriminately with impunity...
Unlike this virus however hearing/seeing them advancing must grip one with utter fear and terror.
Poetry is a way to keep history alive. All Wars throughout history have had their great poets to document for future generations the true horrors experienced bringing to some degree the past to life.
I strongly believe you are right V
Your continued support and far more importantly for me, your well thought out comments...
Which inspired me to keep going down that road less travelled, knowing you have my back. ;)
This is a war we will win!

Vautaw Thank you from the bottom of my heart for you comments.
You have been an inspiration for a few of my poems over the years and are very supportive not only to myself, to so many others here at WOL.
The undertone and under-current has been sweeping a few away this year and the bickering and back-stabbing are something you never stoop down to.
I am guessing you saw my comment on John's poem.
I have so much I wish to do over this coming year, I know some of which you are aware of.
Well now I can begin.
You see V words like you oft write...
"Quiet calm surrounds my soul like palace guards.
There’s no place to go, except within, to fight an invisible war only I can win..."
Where you so often echo words within my heart and that my soul sings... so eloquently you write.
May you and your family stay safe and be well.

Ahh, thank you so much for your comment on 'Strangeness and Experience'. I did feel a bit possessed when writing that one, I'm not sure it's completely finished yet, but it's near enough. 😃 I'm looking forward to The Great Fire, assuming it's not too tough a story to tell?

Those statues were at a theme park called Dogpatch USA in Marble Falls, Arkansas.
Sat 7th Mar 2020 04:46

Come dance with me V
Another wonderful mixture of words splattered upon the page to titillate and engage all the senses.
You have made me think more about an audio book myself, going back to an old poster who knew a bit about this kind of stuff (see the second comment... the one after my very first post to you below) The Big Guy was right on the money Vautaw, you should perhaps think about letting the world at large hear your voice... The voice of the free!

Thank you fo your continued support and inspiring poetry.
I have noted your last comment about the information age....
I am about to write about the huge dangers being faced by our children and grandchildren due to becoming addicted to mobile phones and the stress and depression it causes.
WiFi is our worst enemy and our greatest of allies
Keep posting V
