Dude, "White Horses in a Darkened Field" is fantastic. At first I was thinking, cool, kinda like "The Horses" by Ted Hughes. But no sir, wholly original, ripping with symbolism and simplicity. Great work.

Not only is my name often mis-spelt, I have the added burden of seeing it shortened to ‘Chris'...such is life!

Hi Ray - you didn't say when you made a visit to West End Central
but the descriptions seemed to match a certain time. Who knows...if
you'd visited its opposite West End number up the road in Marylebone (just off Oxford Street) we might have met !!! A lot of
water has passed under the bridge since those days but the memories remain.

Welcome to WOL,Eiren. I think anyone who is compelled to 'write' definitely 'takes things seriously'. Whatever your mouth says, your mind disagrees.

Hi Don,
I appreciate your comments regarding my work. I was rather nervous about starting my blog, but you- along with a few others- have given me the confidence to continue.
Your poem ‘Poets Should Have Standards' is excellent, and I wholeheartedly agree with the sentiments expressed.
You are my favourite profile for the following reasons: You're ‘drawn to rhyme'; you mentioned Oscar Wilde in your poem ‘Comma Dilemma' AND I enjoy reading your poems!
Have an awesome weekend

Hi Jason, thanks for the comment on We Were Beautiful. I absolutely agree; we may age but the beauty doesn't evaporate it just mutates. For me it was the beauty of the moment in time I was really looking back on - and that beauty can be frustratingly fleeting ?, Cheers Tom.

Ruth, re: 'Schizophrenia', the 'first/real' me has always loved ice cream and still does. It was the 'secondary me' who had the aversion. I was very fortunate that I did not get totally 'freaked' about the 'second personality'. Perhaps it was a kind of innate arrogance to refuse 'her' credibility/access. I had blindly heard of such situations, but had no experience with such 'manifestations' whatsoever. None.It was a very scary time.
I so 'feel' for anyone afflicted in this way. It must be awful. Both for the victim, and the people associated, whoever they might be. But the whole experience made me a far more sympathetic person, and open to people's experiences that often seem to be 'bizarre'. Who can presume 'to know'!
