Hi Keith. I'm fine thanks. Just taking a break from posting and commenting on this site. I no longer have a profile on WOL so although I can receive messages i can't post them privately. I do still visit the site occasionally, and still hit the like button from time to time. I don't honestly think anyone will miss my talentless scriblings. There are some brilliant poets on here and i was never one of those.
I'm still enjoying your postings when I do look in. Please keep me informed on any developments regarding any publications. But you have to leave a contact detail for me to reply.
I hope you're well too.
Cheers Kevin

I have this beating metronome
Pulsing in my head
Poet , come and synchronize
You and I are wed
I'm just a learning poet
MC does this make sense ?
I know it isn't worth much
No pounds, shillings or pence
DM ?

Nice poem sample
Personal contact
Thursday, 31st may .2018
He doesn't know
when I blow
my whistle for the invite
but he gets delighted
I free the thought
to go near and don't get caught
as I want to remain unknown
till he tries to own me
He is real and dashing personality
I know of him clearly
I have some fascinations
and really wants to have the close relation
he may know only when
I push him sudden
to the wall of unseen love
then only he will believe
yes, I believe in personal contact
to know more about his acts
and get closer to the consolidation
such is my way of building the relation

Absolutely no need to apologise, Ray!
I did not take offence at all - I totally understood your response to 'Counting Sleep'. After all, Edna is an Aussie icon - some even say, a 'queen' - Ha-Ha!
Your comments and compliments are always welcome and gratefully received.
Best.
Frances.

ah YES you totally got it Hazel ? this was an exercise in trying to create an archaic looking language to fit the archaic looking poem of a crows perspective on life. It was easily achieved using a phonetic translater - which uses emphasis on the words stresses - so reading it aloud is exactly the exercise needed to make it work - the 'translation' was more for those who simply tried to read it - rather than use the phonetics.
Glad you liked it

'taking the piss' Cynthia? I would never knowingly 'take the piss' ? this was an exercise in trying to create an archaic looking language to fit the archaic looking poem of a crows perspective on life. Hi Yvonne - and welcome to Write Out Loud - nice to see you on here. It really is a good forum for posting new material and the feedback you get can help shape your poems for future publishing / performing.
Glad you liked 'the beast beneath the beck' - not sure about roses but I think you just click on the bud that appears beneath the post,
Looking forward to reading some more of your stuff

thanks for commenting on 'sunset over lupset' Ray - to quote an old and poor joke 'nostalgia ain't what it used to be' ? as always you offer an insightful analysis and add your own flourishes and thoughts - that capture what I was 'after' perfectly. Thanks again for taking the time to comment - it's appreciated
