Thank you for your feedback; it was very kind of you.All my poems are songs now as I felt I was better at writing songs than poetry - only took me three or four years to begin to understand the difference! Thanks again; it means a lot when someone of your experience takes the time to comment.
Thanks again - I put my stuff on http://www.mask-mp3.com/

Hi Kealan, The chat facility usually works if you are very patient. A 'typing' sound effect will occur when you get a reply. The temptation is to think "oh the bloody thing isnt working" and click off or try to reconnect, don't just hang on in there if poss , its not ideal I know. Win (Admin)

Hello Melanie
Thanks for your kind thoughts on Senior, Haircut and my masterpiece of epic verse, Breakfast of Champions.
You say, up top, that you're not a poet; well - as you can see, neither am I.
So get posting.

no not too obvious at all. i could only tell -i'm thirty now- because i spent my early twenties incessantly reading his stuff and trying to ape his style. it was worthless though as his voice wasn't mine. his arrogance, sheer force i couldn't muster. he does encourage a freedom though, which you have. i like your writing, keep at it. you have the movement and suprising phrase which, as your style develops, will become your 'voice'
