Thank you Cynthia - you're an angel and your comment means a lot. I've worked on that one for ages and just couldn't get it poetic enough. I reached a stage where I binned it or posted it. The emotions and feelings in it were important to me though as it's a poem I've always wanted to write. I wish I could have done it better justice. Your comment really hit the mark xx

NO!! You don't talk crap at all. I thought it was lovely about the prism.
No that's often the case and I find that a good thing about poetry, that it isn't always straight forwardly obvious what it's about so yes I think you're right. It's my own saying - let the words speak for themselves...and whatever the reader gets is perhaps fine and dandy and why worry about anything more? Thanks for the double comments! XXX

Ann, thank you for your lovely comment. I know that my translations need some improvement (I am working on it) and I will probably do some audio, as you suggested, to share with the Write Out Loud community.
Love your work too!

Thanks for your comment. How lovely that you can say that! I know what you mean but it's still good to find others feeling that way too - liking a poem even without knowing what the heck it's all about! But anyway, here goes:
it's meant to be about kids in care and their experience - being let down by neglectful parents, having, as typically they do, special needs in spite of often being very bright, and the reactions of the media in too often condeming them - forgetting that they are children basically, but that they live outside of what we hope is a normal experience, that of a loving, caring family and friends. Thanks for commenting on "Nicole". I like what you said about it being seen through a prism. I don't quite understand what you mena exactly but it does sound good!

Orchids?..beautiful yes and there was a time they thrived in my hands but sadly I have lost them all and it seems sensless to have beauty die in my hands so now I am left orchidless :(

Hi Lynn
The fact that someone enjoys what I've written means the world, so thank you very much.
I'm trying to write the follow-up to Out of the Mouths, but I can't figure out if I'm going OTT. I probably am, but what the heck
Thanks for taking the time.

Thanks so much for your comments. I am so pleased with the responses to the poem - it was a sort of half dreamt poem to be honest and I didn't particularly rate it, just couldn't find anything else I was happy with either to post so thought I'd give it a shot. Thanks for your thoughtful words on it. Hope to see you soon. XXX
