Men Without Women

Where would men be

without women

to influence our characters

and point out our weaknesses

men would be uncivilized

closer to animals

who only want to sleep and eat

we would still be in dark caves

wearing skins and scratching ourselves

women give us inspiration

women give us aspiration

women tame the wildness in our hearts

without women

men would be savages

and hungry.

Women can do some things better than men, and vice versa, resulting in a well-balanced society.

Very enjoyable poem.
What immediately strikes me is how financially better off we would be without women.
No joint accounts
Microwave meals
One car
One wardrobe
Clothing only replaced every few years
Holiday for one (no cocktails)
Action movies only (no soaps)
No implants, facelifts, beauty salons
No flowers
No Valentines Day presents
No birthday or christmas presents, etc, etc, etc

Who was it who said that America is a matriarchal society?!
Women certainly have admirable qualities that deserve our thanks
and encouragement - not least their importance to the young of
both genders in becoming caring human beings in later life. They
possess (or should) that restraint that can be a safety valve for the
sometimes careless adventures indulged in by the male of the species. At the same time, they are often there behind...pushing! ?

An interesting poem which is open to many challenges. I think men and women are interdependent and therefore compliment one another.
A good poem

Thank you for this

Keith
