Storm Watcher

He watched the leaves float

in the pond

windmoving on the surface

drop-pitted by rain,

leaves, orange-brown against the black depths

He watched the leaves stick

to the patio

wetgluing to the slate

slickened by the storm,

leaves, orange-brown against the black stone

He watched the leaves move

on the trees

wildwaving off the branches

leafstripped by the wind,

leaves, orange-brown against the black sky

He watched the leaves blow

in the garden

wetcarpeting over the lawn

bladebent by the rain,

leaves, orange brown against the black shrubs

He watched the leaves rush

past the window

windscouring the scene

viewhazed by wet glass

leaves, orange brown against the black clouds

Loved it - you can really create a picture in beautiful language too. Like the double words.
