Seizing the Moment!

Twice this morning I ran up the stairs,

You may wonder why I would.

Well, after a year of aches and pains,

I did it because I could!

A few lines that encapsulate so well human
delight in triumphing over frailties of flesh and bone.
I thought at once of my sister who is due a second knee replacement op. early in 2012.
I think she'd understand exactly what is meant!

Thank you Francine and Banksy :-)

Stefan, not a good idea in a bungalow! Lol. ;)

Thanks for comments, Stella and Cynthia.

John, I think the second run up was because I'd forgotten what I went up for on the first! ;)

Oops! Thank you for correction, Tommy - can't think why I didn't notice that! :-)

Hy Lynn, I have read the poem several times and revisited it again to day and now know why I was a tad confused: is it 'It' or is it 'I'? Tommy :o)
