Cheers To WOL

In April I wrote my first poem

it was a one off at this time

It soon became my pastime

attempting lines that rhyme

I came across this website

where people write out loud

Encouraged by the comments

and likes that made me proud

Now I attempt a write everyday

to help me though these times

I like the challenge it presents

writing in riddles and rhymes

I post my blog on write out loud

of whatever comes to my mind

A welcoming, virtual place to be

where folk are generous and kind

So here’s to all write out louders

I hope your Christmas is full of cheer

I wish you health, peace and joy

and all the very best for the new year

I love words in rhyme and like to get with 'em -
Enjoying them more when wedded to rhythm
Keep 'em coming!!

Taking a quick break from peeling. Potatoes and carrots done, parsnips and sprouts up next?

In that relatively short period of time you've become a damn fine poet, Julie. Keep it up...& watch those fingers, it always seems to be parsnips that get me!
Merry Christmas to you & your family??

A Christmas reminder to always be kind
You can never see inside another’s mind
If you cannot think of a kind thing to say
Then please say nothing, it’s best for all this way

I write my poems to exercise my brain,
I walk through words again and again.
And constantly time after time,
Come across words that help me rhyme.
