Hi Steve. Thanks for your comment on " Albert Edward Burrows". I have read a lot about his case, and I wanted to share the story so that people know what an evil man he was.

Hi Steve. Thanks for taking the time to comment on "The Smegroyd's moonlight Flit". It pleased me that you compared it to a music hall ditty, because that's the feeling that I'm aiming for.

Hi Steve. Thanks for the comment on Jasper Slugshaw. When I wrote the original "driving through Grimstone Low" it was as a one-off, but I think I'm going to stick with it now.

Hi Steve , thanks so much for going forward on the technical issue for me. I do take the point about the certificate thing being on my computer. It is a random thing, and seems to home in on WOL only by law of averages. I use the site more than any other; funnily enough it also happened on a youtube link from an email last night. Apparently it might an adware thing. I'll keep my eye on it and won't let it deter me !

Hi Steve: thanks for you comment on World of Plastic. I'll have a go at this at WOL in Send. I did think it would be a sort of tongue twister, to be read in a fairly brisk manner; much obliged.

Pleased you enjoyed Exposure. It's frightening what you can see walking around.
Of course my dress-sense in all conditions is absolutely perfect ?))

thanks for picking out the line in Coward - good to look at it in isolation. The poems don't come all of a piece but it's a reminder to weigh the elements.

Thanks, Ray. I'm really glad you enjoyed 13th floor. It's a true story, and one I really wanted to tell.
Fri 18th Mar 2016 22:44
Just read your sample - 13th floor. Not that you need praise, but I thought this was etched nay incised in words so vivid and direct that it was like a body blow. Certainly a wonderful read for me. Ray

Thank you Steve, 'everyone' refers to Scrooge in derogatory terms - the man became THE most generous and warm person in town!

Steve. Thank you very much for your very kind comment on 'Croc.....' There is nothing like a good 'rant' and that was nothing like one! (Note to self... must get more angry sometimes).
In respect of 'Facepest' a friend shared/re-posted your poem 'This will be a re-run' before I saw it here. I have to say it is a most appropriate piece of work which tugged at my heartstings and oozed nostalgia. It then left me with that big personal fight with social conciousness. Superb!

Have a great gig in Wakefield, Ian. And if you make it back in time, it'd be lovely to see you.

Somebody will read this and come to your rescue!
I would think just copying and pasting the link would work...

Thanks Anthony & Francine! I'm really glad you enjoyed the video - it's a bit nerve-wracking, seeing myself on screen....
I've no idea why the 'comments' function on the blog leads to a blank screen. I tried re-posting the link, but the same thing happens. Sadly my computer literacy is below par and I don't quite understand what to do to set it right....
Sat 8th Dec 2012 16:00
I watched the video on YouTube and thought it was extremely well produced - a message delivered with humour and a Robin Hood philosophy.
Like Anthony said, it adds a whole new dimension to the feel of the words...
Thank you for sharing!

Just wanted to let you know how much I admired your "angry Poet" video. For some reason I can't seem to open your blog post to comment there, the link just takes me to a blank screen (?) - maybe you should check it out. Also left comments on YouTube. Very well done.

Glad you liked "The Last Rhyme". I have to give a little credit away though. It was a Jagger-Richards-Coopey composition. (We're over 200 years old between us).
