Where have you been all my life! Well since I joined WOL.
I adored your poem "What if", and the time frame, Great concept.
I also like your reference to the Sun and Moon. in your other works.
I will ask my better half what planet your rising sign is, I am however more interested in where your descendant is placed in your natal chart.
With your talent for poetry and art is fairly certain what we will see.
The thing is 'you down below' (There is NOTHING 'just' about you) our Kindred Spirit friend.
BTW: Thank you for liking my latest poem... You may find looking back in the WOL archives for 'The UNDERWOOD Pages 1 - 8'
That I referenced at the top of the page.
Catch us up, we will all wait for you with baited breath and much anticipation.

You may refuse to go into that good long night
but you may be dragged into it involuntarily
wear your seat belt!

I like your site sign
"I will have poetry in my life"
how did you do that?

Hi Northern Lass.
I would like to welcome you to WOL It is a place of great insight and full of twats who know nothing but think they know everything.
Most of us fall in the middle.

but a few die-hards like me, still get the morning newspaper.
I would hate to see them go away completely.
Wouldn't we miss the paper
as much as the morning cup of coffee?
I still believe in tradition
long may it live.

Beautiful picture above. I'm not sure I appreciate the symbolism. But I really do think it IS symbolism. The dark berries, being eaten or spat out? I'm really interested.

Your poem 'Celtic Memory' is a walk through the portal of time
Back to days of yore
The path is poetry... Yesterday, today tomorrow
and from henceforth for-evermore.
Great lines here and a passion for those Celtic Roots

who wants to hang around
with old people.
they smell and
don't make any sense.
I know this from what people tell me.
I would never admit to it myself.

Hi Cynthia, it was very nice to read your comment about my profile. I have been off the site lately, but you teased me out again. EFIT is the method of getting likenesses for crime identification shown to witnesses etc. which replaced PHOTOFIT consisting of lots of pieces of a face overlaid based on their description. I think that was an older method pre digital age. In my case I used it as an illustration of conforming to expectations . I hope that is a help!
I hope you're well.

thanks for reading my poem.
yes, you can use it if you like.
maybe it will bring back a thought or two.
Words do that ya know.
That's why we fool around with them.
to get people to think and emote.
Sun 12th Jan 2020 11:13
thanks for reading my poem.
it ain't much.
but what do you expect
from an old codger
on his last good leg
my mind is about
the only thing
that still works without hurting.

Some good ideas in your sample piece you've shared. Perhaps you could shorten it as its maybe a bit long for my own personal tastes, but I did enjoy it. Welcome to Write Out Loud btw. I suspect this would go down well live if you ever chose to perform it. I co run one night in Manchester and I could see it going down well must admit, but anyway.. keep sharing

You are always a delight!
I'm 'not with it'. What does EFIT mean?
If I knew how to do it, I'd post a black and white photo of myself at twenty-five. I know you'd enjoy it, as I do yours: the older person shining through youth.

I'm so glad you're cruising some of the 'oldie-goldies'. I have enjoyed this site from Day 1.There weren't that many of us ten years ago, and many of us actually knew each other in person here in the north of England. It was a fine experience! Now, I'm ten years older, and not so social, and not sure if there still is an active poets' performing 'circle' in the Greater Manchester Arena. But I value the 'world venue' highly.

I am glad you enjoyed reading 'Dying for your touch'
Thank you for your like.
I wish you well, and great things here at this site.
There are a few great poets here
and a few not so great.
The important thing is Roxy to write and read AND comment!
It is so uplifting to receive positive feedback. it will give a poet wings... inspiring them to write more.
You will find those that wish to help, and those that wish to dash.
Be an inspiration

In truth I have spent more time speaking to the dearly departed, or working for them, more than the living at times.
Some of my poetry has a direct connection to either private consultations, Spiritualists church services, Healing, or my day job.
All of which are undertaken under strict confidentiality.
Certain cold cases, long long past are a source of information that I have used to get some insight in to the criminal mind.
Anything current is never used in any fashion that would give any clues whatsoever as to that crime.
The poem I referred to you about this evening driving home from work is purely coincidental regarding your arrival to the site...
Actually I don't believe in coincidence... Synchronicity on the other hand, is another matter entirely.
I hope you enjoy "That fateful day" Jain.
Perhaps enjoy is not the Adjective to use.
