Hi John,
Yes the last apple was indeed inspired by the thoughts of not having found that special someone.
Although, it was only when I saw the last apple on my tree (pictured), that the idea came to me..

thanks for commenting on 'that which autumn leaves' Mark - I adapted it from a short story I wrote about 15 years ago - so, like a vampire, it's already had 3 lives in the form of short story, poem and audio - I guess I should get round to doing a video and give it another life :-)

Hi Stu,
Just read your sample poems and they are sublime. Don't know how you do it. It's not often I think " I wish I'd written that" but really I'm thinking that now. I wouldn't mind buying your first collection.

Hi DK - my career largely consisted of "people watching"
but at that stage of life, an active interest in poetry was not involved. In my retirement, waiting rooms might certainly
be source of poetical ponderings but I usually have other
things (like treatment ?) on my mind. However, I might
find something in future experience that sees me look to
humour for a poem when I'm next due for the needle or drill!
Cheers.

Hi Taylor,
It was a real pleasure to be included in Poesis because it's a quirky little mag that's obviously a bit different and the poetry is very sincere. The editors seem to have a unique perspective and publish stuff which most conformist UK mags would run a mile from, probably for not being clever enough. I've only read your poems so far but look forward to the rest of it.

Hello John,
I really appreciate you commenting on Midnight. I am looking forward to reading your work. I note your long list of published poems and congratulate you on said poems. From some of the poem titles and comments it looks like I am in for a treat.
Regards Taylor

Daemon,
I do believe this is the first time that I have come across your poetry. Already I have read your samples: Sanity or Calamity and Children which are remarkable in their form of expression as one can see clearly that you write from the heart. I am very impressed with what I would consider an innate ability to compose poetry. I look forward to reading more of your work.
Take good care and keep writing
Thank you indeed
Keith

people watching can lead to poetry-
if you read enough faces
you'll come up with a poem.

Hi Taylor,
I read your poems in Poesis Literary Magazine and particularly liked Midnight. I can definitely relate to this racing brain thing and having too much imagination. But then without it we probably couldn't write poetry. These days there are many techniques for mind control. I do a 5 minute meditation every day and find it helps.

I agree with the first observation. Thank you. Poppy flowers are associated with the cemeteries of soldiers fallen in wars. After a millennium, mankind did not understand anything and people talk through bullets.
