Some of your list of questions after my comment I have already covered on 6 August so that should suffice. Insults tend to go stale quite quickly unless they are very skilled. It is not obligatory to comment on poems but where an inspiration comes in I feel it is justified, which I did in your case. Perhaps you might feel the urge yourself someday. Other than that I am flummoxed - either I am not getting your humour or aliens have landed. (That's my humour).

thanks for the comments on 'falling down the cracks in the pavement' Keith - yes - I needed some light relief after the war poetry of the last month or so - been on a tour of 6 gigs in 7 days last week delivering the set of poems and music that I released about WW1 in 2014. It has been fulfilling but emotionally draining - I needed to let off some steam and let out some jeans :-)

thanks for the comment on 'a poppy in winter' Taylor - yep - it was really all about choice - I don't think a soldier fighting in WW1 would have wanted 'remembrance' to be just about remembering (which I think is the red poppy message) without pairing it with learning lessons (Which I think the white poppy encourages)

thanks for your comments on 'a poppy in winter' Mark - I'm not really advocating the white poppy as the only form of remembrance - I think the red poppy is for that - the white poppy is more a reminder to think about peace when we remember. I wear both side by side because remembrance, on its own, is not enough for me
