WHEN CHRISTMAS COMES AROUND

With Christmas almost upon us again, here's a gospel-style blog to welcome it back.

..............................................................................................................................................................

Lift up your voice - let all rejoice

And make a joyful sound

Cast off the care most folk must bear

When Christmas comes around

Look to your hearts - that's where love starts

Where life itself begins

And you shall know that faith will show

Forgiveness for your sins

Look to His truth - in age and youth

Salvation shall be found

As one they stand before His hand

When Christmas comes around

Stand up and sing - let joy take wing

Our praises shall resound

The Word we share is everywhere

When Christmas comes around

A time of cheer with loved ones near

To banish grief and tears

With peals of laughter ever after

Echoing down the years

Look to His truth - in age and youth

Salvation shall be found

As one they stand before His hand

When Christmas comes around

Lift up your eyes to seek the skies

With stars forever crowned

That we might see eternity

When Christmas comes around

Be grateful for the years before

The years yet to be

Each bright new dawn - each new life born

His precious world to see

Look to His truth - in age and youth

Salvation shall be found

As one they stand before His hand

When Christmas comes around

..............................................................

Happy Christmas to one and all !

Jennifer, I think your computer's gone wonky again. This 'ofspending' is new to me. An orgy of it sounds interesting though. Let me know what it's like.....

While you're in snow and winter freeze
Watching sleds sleigh by
I'm just melting in the heat
I ask myself, now why?

Cos you chose to live on the wrong side of the planet.....

Oh?....Is that why?

You enjoy your Christmas amid falling snowflakes and a nice log fire and I'll enjoy mine in cool air-conditioned comfort amid kangaroos jumping by......

Happy Christmas

We still have a windup gramaphone complete with steel needles MC. Makes a good night's entertainment listening to music hall greats. Grandson asks can you still get replacement amplifier valves?.....

Thanks for the comments/likes - one and all. This HAS a tune but I seem unable to load it on this particular site.
If anyone is interested, send me your email address to my profile
page OR email me at markone05@live.com and i will try to send it on that way. it has been managed
previously elsewhere. There is a catch between jpeg (etc) files
and wma (etc) files on what I see available on my PC that I have yet to overcome. But then I was brought up in an age that had wind-up
gramophones, steel needles and bakelite discs as state of the art home entertainment!! 😎

Beautifully composed, but politicially incorrect. Surely you are referring to the Winter Festival.

Only joking MC
Thank you for this
