In Love

 

A time comes to fall deeply in love

consumed by a sensuous longing desire

A burning passion of emptying oneself

to be enrapt in the gilded frame of love

 

When all else is of secondary importance

nothing left to chance or distractions of any kind

A union of body, mind and heart

beating yea pulsating to a climax of exhileration

 

A time when all is brought to a sudden pause

incidentals cease to be of any more consequence

Hours of exploration, caressing and a gentle warmth

embraces that overlap in a perpetual sequence

 

To be carried beyond this mortal habitation

to vistas of glowing embers that burst into flames

Foolishness at being coy or outrageous acts of joy

these moments are bequeathed to us

 

In worlds and realms of misery we can escape

to be transformed and brimming with starlit optimism

As fantasies are played out on an intimate stage

where two lovers fuse in celestial ecstasy
