The City

entry picture

I am on a crowded

city sidewalk,

the crowd sgueezes,

shoves and pushes.

Like blood through

a too small artery.

Claustrophobia threatens

to swallow me.

A small opening appears,

I rush to it. But it quickly

fills in and once again,

the crowd squeezes, shoves

and pushes.

I reach my destination.

AWW, I have room.

I can breath! I am

safe for a few hours.

In too short a time

the rush of the too

small artery will begin

in the opposite direction.

I agree, Shirley. Good analogy with the circulation

Loved this one Shirley and especially the crowd being compared to blood attempting to flow through a too narrow artery.
Good choice of illustration too! x John

The bottlenecks of life are sent to try the day workers of the world. Crush of Rush-hour is amplified in Japan where you can get a man to cram you in so tight there's barely any light or air to suck into lungs so desparate to work they want to burst into a thousand drops of life. I enjoyed it lots, Ta muchly, Nick.
