Wow. I have only just seen that The Samaritans Charity official YouTube channel has favourited the video of my poem 'So Sad WAS I' which I wrote about calling the Samaritans helpline a few years ago. Please click on this link to hear and see it, on the Samaritans Charity Official YouTube channel.

The Samaritans helpline is here 24 / 7
Are you vulnerable? Feeling low?
Then why not call:
UK: 08457 90 90 90
Ireland: 1850 60 90 90

I also hope to do something with the Samaritans in the new year. They will be contacting me soon, about several options I have discussed with them.

John, this is a very powerful message. Well delivered in the link. Good luck with all your projects in this area and keep us up to date via more blogs like this. Winston

Good luck with that project John. The shitty cards some people get dealt with in life, take some coping with. I think it's a great charity, with people who have benefited often going on to help others themselves. It's wonderful to see poetry being used in such a positive way. x

Lovely video, poem and message John. My only criticism would be the face that mans the Samaritan line in the video. It is young, beautiful and probably not very representative of reality. I suppose it's not that different to many other adverts in that respect so perhaps it reflects what the unthinking public want to see.
