Sightings

I saw an archbishop at Waterloo:

Looking for a sandwich

And spoiling for some action

With his usual cassock crew.

I suppose that this is what they do.

I once saw Lord Longford

Swapping yarns with a Tory,

But that, as they say,

Is another story.

I can't say that I ever saw Tony Blair
But like his legacy that's neither here nor there! 😐

Looking for a sandwich- An early lunch?
Apologies Stephen, the current situation in the UK is grim: my desperate attempt at humour.😕

Thanks, Greg. Yes, encounters with the famous often disappoint. I read recently about someone who claims that Philip Larkin refused to share his umbrella with him while queueing at a rainy bus stop.

And thanks to Holden, Hélène, Manish and Steve for liking this.

I once saw Lord Longford, Steve. I had broken down just outside Robertsbridge and he jogged right past me. Didn't even stop to ask if he could help.
