Hroza

It’s a tough old job,

Lugging around the body bags.

I sweat and nearly stumble

Over the packed rows of stiffs.

I think I’ll change;

Get something in an office.

There’ll be a nice comfy chair,

And morning coffee

With a tasty slice of pie.

If you can be fatigued,

So can I.

I fear that you may be right, Graham, and it is a frightening prospect. And frankly, idle chatter from the political smug and safe in the US and Europe will not help.
Thank you for your kind comment on the poem.

And thank you to Frederick, Peter and Steve for the likes.

I've just clicked 'like' which actually felt quite wrong Stephen.
I can't help but think there will be a cataclysmic event sooner or later in this horrendous debacle.

I see the lunatic Putin is bragging about a new nuclear missile he has just announced, not ruling out a test which is illegal within the recognised countries.

This piece is brilliant for the fact that it hardly mentions what is going on in Ukraine but WE ALL KNOW!

well done again

51 dead in the latest atrocity. Absolutely obscene.
Meanwhile, MAGA morons play games in Washington.
