Umbilical cord

entry picture

Once upon a time from the power of a dream your body was born. Mother Earth gave you, her blessings. You made your first sound. Β People called it cry. The first sound of your creation. The first breath of your imagination.

Do you remember that sound? Do you remember that breath? It was the beginning of a dream. A dream you were blessed to live. A dream of Mother Earth through you. You forgot that dream. You forgot you were born to live. You forgot you were born to laugh. You forgot you were born to play. You forgot you were born to dream.

People taught you language, culture, history, religions, morality, rules and structures. People taught you what is good and what is bad. People taught you to separate you from the others and the power over them. People taught you colours and race. People taught you what to think, what to feel.

You forgot your dream. You forgot you are Mother’s Earth dream. You learned to give and allowed yourself to be used. You learned to love and allowed your heart to be abused. You learned to trust and to be naive. You learned to pretend and lose your voice.

You learned what to do to be accepted. You learned what to do to be seen. You learned what to do to be felt. You learned what without how. You learned what without why. You learned what without who. You learned what without when. You learned what without where.

You lost your real magic. You forgot your sword. You forgot to cut the umbilical cord.

Thank you for your lovely comments! πŸ™πŸ™

Manish, I am glad that in a way through my writing a message is passed on. And yes, you are right many times we feel lost, and if we are aware we can see around us there is always somebody or something to light our path! Thank you!πŸ™πŸ™
Kevin, I don't know why but anytime I see comments of your I find myself smiling. Thank you!πŸ™πŸ™
Clare, while writing this poem I was feeling the same too. It was like different levels of consciousness were operating in harmony with each other and the last 3 sentences were the seal of their communication. Thank you for your wonderful comment!πŸ™πŸ™

This poem takes me to the core of my being. So many levels to tumble into. I think this is a magnificent poem - one that resonates with a force so strong that it takes my breath away. Dare I say, I think this is the best poem I have read on WOL and that takes some doing! I will read this over and over. Thank you 🌻🌻🌻

Reading this has left me speechless, Matilda. There's something in the way that you right, the energy that it passes on to me is really pure. There's education, transparency, transition, lesson, nature, morality, imagination, purpose of life, etcetera. These factors are so powerful and effectively written that it leads my paths towards my life's purpose when I'm lost.
Thank you for this.🌻
