COS HE'S A LIAR

entry picture

In case you are new to this revelation, here is a re-post of mine from 2019.

Bumbling Boris Johnson is surrounded by his lies

That he can’t lie straight in bed should come as no surprise

Cos he’s a liar

He’s surrounded by his lies.

The Times sacked him for making up a quote with bogus words

And Brexit has been stuffed by those “French turds”.

“We shouldn’t spaff good brass investigating paedophiles

He likes those darkies’ “watermelon smiles”.

Boris lied about his marriage infidelity

Boris is not known for honesty.

Cos he’s a liar

He’s surrounded by his lies.

While Muslim women from a “letterbox” will outward gaze

And “tank-topped bum boys” was a Boris phrase.

“The Turks are coming; vote for Leave” he stirred up such a fuss

And who’d forget his Brexit Big Red Bus?

Cos he’s a liar

He’s surrounded by his lies.

Proroguing Parliament’s against the law as we have seen

And we know Boris had misled the Queen;

“There’ll be no Brexit Leave delay” which was a little rich

He said he’d “rather be dead in a ditch”.

But he’s a liar

He’s surrounded by his lies.

Yes, he’s a liar

But you’re not bothered that he lies.

Yes, he’s a liar

But you’re not bothered that he lies.

Thankyou, Bethany. Yes, I got it.
I’m toying with my next one noting Bojo’s reluctance to give up office with a parody of The Ivy League’s “Tossing and Turning”, entitled “Kicking and Screaming”.

Thankyou, Bethany and Ruth for your thoughts.
And thanks for the Likes, John, Holden and Stephen.
I had a feeling when I posted this yesterday that it would be out of date before anyone read it. As I write this, the BBC has announced he will resign today.
Perhaps I should have called it “He WAS a liar”.

Many thanks, each. I don’t subscribe to the view that they are all liars. They don’t all tell the truth, they obfusticate, they avoid. But what they do is leave themselves enough wiggle room to change position.
Johnson lies, denies, gets found out and (sometimes) apologises. Then repeat. And repeat.
If this isn’t important to you, you have no respect for democracy.
And thanks for the Likes, Frederick and Jennifer.

Beautifully constructed, John, and a sad (but appropriate) epitaph to this generation of public school twits.

When entering politics, the simple words "yes" and "no" are
consigned to the dustbin of dialogue and flexibility becomes the
default word for honesty. I imagine it's the same across the
world; indeed in certain Latin American lands such behaviour seems de rigueur! 😎

Sadly, we are well past the times of the 'honourable man' in politics and elsewhere. There again I think we've all lied sometime, for us it just didn't matter so much

True words, but in that coven called the House of Commons he is surrounded by many other liars.
