The Shifting Sands of a Christian Faith
Denominations cut adrift from the source of truth
People now create their own God giving themselves authority
Christ prayed that we should all be one
But now we are many and dispersed
The keys to the Kingdom were handed to Peter
The keys to the Kingdom of Heaven
Now we have a key ring with many keys
but only one will open the gate to the Kingdom
The hand of God and man reach out to each other
But they are unable to touch and meet
One, not many, is where the truth lies
Firmly established on the rock of Faith
Not in the shifting sands of man made Faiths

But isn't all "faith" a man-made creation? I admire the Christian
faith today because of its bequest of great buildings and music.
here in Britain over the centuries.
Consistency is not its strong point when it comes to that one
vital word in human existence: love. More's the pity.
