DESOLATION

Oh... The pain and sorrow

Of waiting on yet another hopelessly empty tomorrow

Day dreaming that I still have a life

However, to feel, from the creation of my imagination

I must borrow

Aware of a world outside my door

That world for me is no-more

I rage over my accumulating age, and health condition

That has me in a state of desolation

And fear of expanding loneliness

Which for me, seems to be, all that is in store

Stuck inside, from reality I cannot hide

Life for me is just memories now

They are fading fast, and re-runs anyhow

I have seen them before

DESOLATION

Soaked through to my core

JD.,
This is a cry from the heart; the voice of so many, seldom heard, as they fade into obscurity, left with a feeling of abandonment and lacking in purpose. Time passes with only memories to console us. Written from the heart.

A very good poem and one worth giving consideration to.
Thank you for this

Keith
