Over the "Hump"

Grasses will be greener in the coming years

Flower`s fuller, and prettier

Having been watered with yesterdays tears

We are all soaked in sad memories and sorrows

But no more,  for our coming tomorrows

An unknown future we did fear

Then,  covid death was looming near

Now,  around a corner we did turn

Because for a new way of life we did yearn

We reap what we sow,  and all of us know

Up!  We have givin` the old ways of livin`

Post "Trump" life, we no longer take in strife

The World has charted a new way

And on this path I hope we stay

The coming days continue to be brighter

The people I meet,  their smiles bigger,  and mood lighter

We as a community,  can now live universally

Respect and admire our diversities

It may take a while,  for our actions to compile enough proof

That yes, Americans have dignity,  and style,

Excluding of course those that were vile.......

This poem brims with optimism as it takes us on the road to recovery. Well crafted and a joy to read.
Thank you for this
