My Decision

Do our duty we are told, just a scratch.
But Coronavirus, we might still catch!
And if so, it's possible to pass it on too.
So still keep our face, hidden from view.
Long term side effects, too soon to tell.
Will they silence or ring any future bell?
If a 'new variant' pops up, as surely it will.
Will the current vaccines protect us still?
The answer being, they're not really sure.
A new vaccine needed...then one more?
So the cycle begins again, it seems to me.
Tied to endless vaccines, never to be free.
They constantly talk of 'risk and reward'
So I've weighed that all up, took it onboard.
Now I've come up with a decision of mine.
When offered a vaccine, I'll politely decline.
I'm perfectly within my rights you will find.
To make such a decision with peace of mind.

(I respect other people's opinion over this and have no problem with their beliefs or wishes, this just happens to be mine)

I go along with Keith. It's not so much a case of US catching IT.
Rather, it catching us. We are ready enough to accept flu jabs and
their variations in the meantime. No science is perfect and we will
always be playing catch-up in such matters. But I think of it as
"taking care of me which can help towards taking care of you".

Well said although I can't agree with you. One thing is for certain, we have not heard the last of this dreadful pestilence. It will be ranked amongst yellow fever, measles, whooping cough and influenza as another plague to be immunised against. I find it interesting that most pandemics come out of China. Now there's food for thought.

Thank you for this
Keith
