I saw the report and wondered, in passing, whether her product had been instrumental in the length of her own (long ) life. Good to know
too that women have always been making their mark in bringing
inventive thinking into being for our benefit. . .
A reference to the passing of Doreen Lofthouse, “inventor” of the FF lozenge and to the old joke:
Judge to coughing miscreant “Would you like to suck on a Fisherman’s Friend?”. Miscreant “Don’t you think I’m in enough bother?”

Thanks, MC. It is hard to imagine, however, that when F’sF was being developed that at some point someone (maybe Mrs Lofthouse herself) said, “That’s exactly the taste I’m looking for”.
