Post card from Spain

Here I'm in charming Granada

Shaded by palm trees

Drinking sangaria

You're stuck in Devon

What awful pictures shown on the news

Of the crowded Bournemouth beach

It must be frightening

Now that Boris has eased restrictions

Saw this nice post card

Of the heavenly Alhambra

And thought of you

Don't you wish

That you were here

◄ Joyful gardening bliss

No humans live here ►

John
Thank you for for sharing you experiences of Granada.
I've fond memories of it. One never tires of Granada. During one visit I was invited into a cave dwellings outside the Alhambra. It was a hot day but ideal temperature inside.
Thank you for the like.

Abdul,

Your poem reminds me of the time I spent in Granada in 1994. There's a street the winds up to the Alhambra called Cuesta de Gomerez where I made friends with a man called Francisco who made flamenco guitars for important musicians. He used to sign me in as a guest at the exclusive members only flamenco club. Hope your visit was as rewarding as mine.

Keith, M C, Moon.girl, Po

Thank you all for dropping in and adding your welcome thoughts on the post card from Spain.

The Moors adored Andalusia and left a rich legacy behind them that the Spanish love and preserve. They attract vast numbers of visitors from all over the world to come and admire them.

Receiving a post card is nostalgic.

Post card days...reminds me of long gone childhood. Emails n whatsapp are far easier n faster mode of interaction and yes, pictures come in handy as and when and where you want.
Boris like many others has eased the restrictions. Second wave is unavoidable. COVID 2 the series, i hope its just a farce to see.

Good one Abdul.

Fortunately, Devon is a lot further from London than Bournemouth.
And it's a good bet the majority of those gathering together like
bugs are from that particular place. But for some folk, it seems the lure of the sun can drive them to the borders of insanity - let alone
those of Hampshire and Dorset! ?

Abdul,

I do hope you are enjoying Andalusia. My partner is from Spain which I regard as my spiritual home.
