Spring!

entry picture

Call the trade descriptions police...we've been sold the wrong spring this year!!!!

Like a metal coil

Compressed

In a tense, uncertain

Rest

And when the pressure is

Released

Many mere mortals, by then

Deceased

They thought that

Spring

Was daffodils

Now life has fallen

Almost still

Invisible, silent, viral

Attack

The question is

Do we

Spring back?

Although the media has seemed overpowering in its eagerness to
keep this in the news, at least we are beneficiaries of its ability to
spread the word, unlike those poor souls a hundred years ago who
suffered the blight of Spanish flu and had no such worldwide
warning system in place to help awareness and the fight back...or, to
borrow that positive phrase: "Spring back"😌.

Thanks to everyone who commented and liked my poem here. Yes. We'll be like Tigger and spring back from this somehow.

You've had Snow Po? Your poem here paints a beautiful picture. I always remember the fact that every so often we get on the verge of an Easter that feels cold & Christmas like!

Hugh, M.C, Don, Nigel I hope you are all keeping well through this strange new world!

Hi Ruth

It snowed here in Albion yesterday
the snowdrops obscured in a carpet of white
they look so fragile yet bloom with such might
they like so many, never give up the fight
and after their sleep long the through year
again they will blossom to give us some cheer

Cos. they are the sign that Springs once again here.

We will conquer this conquest Ruth have no fear

Welcome positivity. I like the use of the words "Spring back", bringing
to mind "It's always darkest before the dawn".

We must spring back,
And fight this virus attack.
"Life has fallen almost still,"
We must fight against being dead or ill.
Summer lies a short way ahead,
Spring back don't end up dead !!
